OK, the PVP rules are amazing:

I’ve only ever heard someone say “opa!” when Ouzo was ignited as part of making saganaki (roasted then flambe’ed kasseri cheese - which I understand to be an American twist)

Agreed. From the thumbnail, I thought Adam Savage had put on a little weight. Given how Savage feels about Scott’s films, I suspect this would not make him sad.

Stop and Frisk sort of renders your assertion moot.

Great article.

Regarding the vinyl tiles: I’m surprised nobody in this thread has mentioned the “stack of glossy magazines” trick.

Oops, looks like they just got caught with a “backdoor access” problem that they’ve promised to remedy too...

Is OnePlus still adding code to their OS to send user-data back to the Chinese servers?

Screw the kids (figuratively). I live in the suburbs because I want to have room for a 300 sqft workshop and room to park my class-B RV. My “shed” has enough space for overlapping electronics, woodshop, machine shop, smithy, and welding space, not to mention material storage.*

Also, depending on the rivets, simply removing the heads may not be enough. Astro/Safari vans have riveted BJs also, and even after removing both ends of the rivet, they couldn’t be driven out, even with the arm in a vice and the swift application of a sledge. Only after a significant amount of drilling (which

Yeah, snark or not, I’m not sure “moving parts” is the correct metric anyway.

Quality info. Thanks.

Dang, I’m sooo excited for this. But even cooler? My 8 year old, with hardly any exposure to the Marvel comics, (and only recently to the MCU), saw the latest trailer before Thor, and leaned over and loudly “whispered” to the entire front row “Dad, when can we see that?”

Perfect storm.

My best rewards for good tipping are ongoing good relations with places where I’m a “regular”.

That’s a cool coat, but it’s going to be significantly harder to cosplay 13 than it was 10, 11, or 12.

Not nearly as well documented, but a few brave souls have also done NP242 TC swaps into the fullsize Express/Savanna vans. It’s too bad those aren’t as common as the Astro/Safari in AWD configuration, even in 1500 trim. Supposedly, GM made some AWD 2500 vans for a few years, but they’re raaaaaaare.

I too like the 4x4 Ford vans, but the cost of entry is just SO expensive. Quigley is charging $18k to do it on a Transit now (and has stopped doing used vans.) Around $10k is the cheapest I’ve seen for turnkey (U-Joint Offroad in NC). They also sell kits for the accomplished DIYer, but by the time you’ve bought

Yes. They were AWD (in two flavors, viscous and electronic, depending on year). In all cases, a dual-range 4WD case from a Blazer (or several other donors) will bolt in. In most cases, no other mods are needed. (In a few cases, depending on interchange, the TC is clocked “down” a bit and some clearancing is needed

I think I paid out of pocket to repair the first one (A/C electrical). Anybody have any idea if I have any potential redress? (Repair was Sept 2016)
