Prelude is a very special car to me. Bought a 5th gen when I was 16 as my first car and still own it 17 years later. A lot of memories with this one. I could never get the gulls to sell it. You really do not hear too much about that model. These were great handling, fun to drive cars. Just recently took out of storage…
Ah Honda at its best. I miss this Prelude. Still am tempted to find a clean example as a daily beater in case I get rid of my e36 “project car”. I say that b/c all 20yr old bmws are project cars whether you want them to be or not...
I’m happy to see so much Prelude love this week on Jalopnik. I have always loved all the generations of Prelude, despite not being a Honda guy at all. Definitely needs more attention than it has ever received.
I had a 1992 Prelude si in college. and loved it. I knew I wanted a Prelude, as soon as, I learned to drive stick on best friends Accord. So when I asked my dad can we look for a used Prelude he seem a little reluctant at first but eventually came around. It may had been be up selling Honda’s stellar reliability or…
Back when Honda made desirable cars...
I drove one of these through college/post college. Great car. everyone who sat in it made commments about the dash. I roasted so many tires doing FWD burnouts with that car. Only one wheel at a time though :P
I just saw a black 5th gen prelude plying the streets, was never a fan of the front end on those but the rear was nice
You describe me to a tee. I don’t think I’d even miss it. It’s more of a habit than a passion.
Same. Had no hesitation about watching football for 30 years, then starting last year I found myself starting to question it—player health and the league response, oligarch conspiracy vs Kaep, owner-friendly player contracts, Goodell. I’ll probably still watch some this year but I kind of see it fade away for me over…
A 70 year old friend is leaving next week to climb Mt Whitney for the 20th straight year. He rides his bike over 10k miles/year.
Someone’s going to die on the field. It’s just an inevitability really. When that happens then there won’t be much left in the tank for football.
As scarred as Plunkett is, he says he wants the NFL to do what it can to start making football safer so the sport doesn’t disappear.
The LFA was so expensive since it had a special fuel tank for Liquid Schwartz
Found this one in Alexandria, VA.
Sorry for the photos from Snapchat, but I took these a few months ago ar Bob Rohrman’s Lexus in Arlington Heights, IL. The dealer owner has had it since 2011 and its never been sold - just roped off on the dealer’s floor, AFAIK.
Well, one was here. At least, it was still there on sale for $382,000 in November last year. Now, who knows?
Man, we ain’t found shit!
Tell them to comb the desert, you hear me!
