As a long time Austinite, I can assure you that this city has absolutely ZERO desire for an NFL team. At most an MLS team is the most likely thing to ever happen here.
Don’t go talking shit about Stringfellow Hawk and his sweet ass helicopter war machine.
It gives me great pleasure knowing that people like you are quickly becoming the minority in this country, and will soon not have the votes to matter in even local municipal elections.
The GOP is only doing “fine” because of the EC, which did exactly what it was created not to do. Beyond that, the Dems have a real problem with non-POTUS election year turnout. Once they figure that out, or once enough of the old angry white people that voted for Trump die, the GOP won’t be doing so “fine.”
Here’s the good news, people like you, with your views and fantasy of 1950s life are becoming relics. Soon, there will not be enough of you left to make a difference in national, let alone local, elections.
Party before country. Brilliant strategy. Thanks.
Enlighten me as to how those failures can be blamed on Democrats when Republicans control the entire government?
My all time favorite meme (and movie/book).
Hello... let me introduce you to false equivalencies!
Exsqueeze me? Citations please... (I’ll wait)
Ford’s not stupid. They know the market they have for a traditional Bronco — it’s the same one for the Raptor. So the real question is, do they feel like they can not damage Raptor sales too much by introducing a Bronco that purists want and will buy? Or do they think better to not touch the Raptor market and try…
You can’t just replace the timing belt on the 4th gen 4Runner yourself. I had one that I drove to almost 200k miles. You have to take off the whole front end of the engine to get to it and replace it. Basically you’re out ~$1,200 every 90k miles to replace the timing belt.
This is the only way 130 will ever be a viable alternative to I-35 through Austin. And it’s also the only way I-35 congestion will be lessened.
Are you woefully blind or just willfully ignorant? 130 is far from the first state highway built as a toll road in the last 20 years, and it will be far from the last. Roads are supposed to be a public good, paid for by the gas tax and federal taxes/assistance. But because our good ol’ boy state government (I’m…
That was beautiful. Needs moar stars.
No just trucks, toll I-35 through central Austin period.
There’s hardly anyone on the southern half of the road. The northern half is pretty heavily traveled between RR and 71. Otherwise I agree. It is WAY too far out of the way to be an alternative for I-35, especially because it’s tolled.
That tipping point will NEVER arrive as long as 130 is tolled. The tolls and the fact that it’s so far east of Austin are the reason it’s failed like it has. If they really want to reduce traffic and congestion on I-35 through Austin, it needs to be tolled and the tolls removed from 130. Until that happens, 130…
You are most definitely not overreacting. That shit is weird. At least take off the mask if you don’t have the time to change out of the costume. But keeping the mask on? When it’s not Easter day/weekend? That shit is just fucking creepy.
