The scary part, is that Pence is scarier than Trump, because he’s not a buffoon.

Put aside your rancid partisanship and try to understand the implications of a foreign power like Russia intentionally subverting our democratic process, and doing so successfully. It doesn’t matter who won or who lost, it’s the fact that a foreign power successfully subverted our democratic process. If you can’t

That’s basically the definition of a sociopathic narcissist, of which Trump is.

You know that saying, “missing the forest for the trees”? Yeah, that’s you.

Yeah, but as long as you’ve got fire you can melt ice for water. :)

One, it’s a free TRIAL. Not a free subscription. Two, it’s $4 a month. Give me a fucking break.

Stop being so fucking cheap. $4 a month for an unlimited digital subscription to the Washington Post is more than worth the cost.

Thanks! I remember reading something about this a while back but nothing ever seemed to come of it (and I didn’t look real hard either). But thanks for making it easy with the activation link. And you can’t beat WaPo for $4 a month!

This is the only way 130 will ever be a viable alternative to I-35 through Austin. And it’s also the only way I-35 congestion will be lessened.

Are you woefully blind or just willfully ignorant? 130 is far from the first state highway built as a toll road in the last 20 years, and it will be far from the last. Roads are supposed to be a public good, paid for by the gas tax and federal taxes/assistance. But because our good ol’ boy state government (I’m

That was beautiful. Needs moar stars.

No just trucks, toll I-35 through central Austin period.

There’s hardly anyone on the southern half of the road. The northern half is pretty heavily traveled between RR and 71. Otherwise I agree. It is WAY too far out of the way to be an alternative for I-35, especially because it’s tolled.

That tipping point will NEVER arrive as long as 130 is tolled. The tolls and the fact that it’s so far east of Austin are the reason it’s failed like it has. If they really want to reduce traffic and congestion on I-35 through Austin, it needs to be tolled and the tolls removed from 130. Until that happens, 130

Outside of quieting nerves, booze is a horrible idea. The last thing you need is to be dehydrated when infrastructure like water systems are interrupted and not delivering.

There’s also the 3rd type that because they’ve lived through hurricane warnings/events before, will think it’s all being blown out of proportion and they’ll be just fine and dandy. I feel like this 3rd type includes a mixtures of type 1 and type 2 as well.

It’s not simply a matter of well constructed buildings, it’s also the elevation at which most of Florida sits at. Combined with the fact that a sustained Category 4 hurricane like they’re saying Matthew will be as it rapes the coastline, is crazy dangerous and powerful. Most hurricanes lose strength as they make

My parents did the same shit when Ike hit Houston. They thought because they lived ~40 miles north of downtown in the Woodlands that they’d be fine. What happened? Ike came right up I-45 and wrecked their house. Destroyed the roof, trees down everywhere, flooding, no power for over a week after Ike passed. Still

this deserves moar stars

And to think I was contemplating switching from AT&T to Verizon. Ha!
