Not only that but JD Power only does initial quality studies. They do not track anything long term. Which IMHO, makes them completely worthless. If I’m buying a new car, all of the shit should work. If it doesn’t, it goes back to the dealer to get fixed under warranty.

One kid is a vastly different world than two or more. You’ll be singing a different song if you ever have a second kid.
I don’t know anyone with only one kid who drives a Tahoe/Yukon.
Do you know why their “overly defensive?” Because people like you who berate them for driving the vehicle they want to.
fuck I wish it were that way here in TX.
Oooo... nice! Wasn’t aware of that awesomeness as we’re waiting to see if we end up moving to Colorado or not for my work before I start shopping.
Ditto. And bonus, for whatever reason my wife has always loved and wanted a Volvo. God I love it when the vehicle I want to buy her is the vehicle she wants.
I’m about 12 years away from the college send off, and I couldn’t agree more. Actually hoping my kid will go to school somewhere in Canada, since she has dual citizenship and it’ll be a hell of a lot cheaper (plus college athletics just aren’t a thing up there)!
I’m amazed the media isn’t making more out of this.
Color me not shocked? An extremely socially conservative, patriarchal Baptist university in Texas did everything they could to win foozball games? Even if it meant recruiting players of less than reputable character and covering up, dismissing, being all around general shitheads to victims of sexual assault? Say it…
Jesus, I don’t know what the fuck is wrong with most of the people commenting here. Kudos! Quite an accomplishment! And thanks for making my Monday afternoon pass by a little more quickly.

I think they still hold value, but not in their current form. They need to go back to using a lot of preexisting facilities like they used to and not asking host countries to spend ungodly sums of money to build new venues and host them.
Have you ever actually tried to hail a cab in Austin? Called to have one dispatched and waited, and waited, and waited, only to have it never show up?
Actually there were all of 7 instances of criminal behavior by Uber/Lyft drivers since they both launched in Austin in 2014. And all seven would not have been prevented by fingerprint based background checks.
OMG this is the absolute truth:
Calling the 2JZ a “fairly reliable engine” is about the most untrue thing you could ever say about it. It’s friggin bullet proof. I don’t say that about almost anything, but that engine truly is.
There’s actually a lot of truth in the argument that money (and hp) will not bring you happiness. I’ve been on both sides of that coin, and while admittedly it’s nice to have money, outside of not worrying about being able to afford the necessities to live, I am not inherently more happy now than I was before.
