Jesus hung out with a hooker and no one made him delete his twitter.

Not only are people talking about the Pacers (which rarely happens), the Pacers are also fun to watch (which may have never happened). I will remember this feeling when we are 3 games under .500 in April.

I watched a lot of OKC games and the stares, f-yous, and general hatred Russ throws at his teammates is insane. You could guess if the Thunder would win by the first Sefolosha shot and Westbrook reaction. Roberson, Lamb, and then Oladipo. I wonder what he says to teammates in the locker room?

Now playing

Or Bubba Wells’ greatest claim to fame.

Beasley and Jeff Green are my favorite “what if we actually dealt with mental health issues in a logical way” players to watch.

it’s gonna sound stupid to say, but i wanted the bulls to tank to get him. he’s the perfect center for the trends of the modern nba. he can match up defensively with the crop of unicorns, and his offense provides just enough space and playmaking verve that every defense has to treat him as a threat.

Pacers fan. This team was PAINFUL to watch last year. I haven’t tuned in so consistently in years. The bag of magic beans we got back for PG turned out to be straight gold - love seeing them win a trade for once in my life (see Danny Granger trade, that took them from a top contender to an affair-rumored dumpster

I’ve been a big Sabonis fan since day 1, based mainly upon the fact that his dad was extremely awesome. Even a pale imitation of his dad was bound to be at leaSt somewhat awesome.

When you say Bogdanovic debuted this year, you mean for the Pacers, right? This is his 4th year overall in the NBA.

I’m really enjoying Sabonis, in particular. As a center, it’s like his game all just clicks into place: he’s not a plus shooter as a forward, but as a center he is; he’s not an agile or versatile defender as a forward, but as a center he is. He’s a good operator from the elbow, and his rebounding is seriously impressiv

Freed from the curse of being teammates with a selfish point guard ?

Remember “Westbrook doesn’t have any good teammates?” Pepperidge Farms remembers.

C’mon, with basketball you’re dealing with mostly black kids so naturally they’re treated like they’re all immature and/or lacking proper guidance and can’t make good decisions for themselves so whites must “guide*” them the “right-z” way.

Better yet - go the NHL route. Players are eligible for the draft at 18, but all the team that drafts them is really getting is their rookie deal rights. The player is still eligible to play in college without signing a contract with the NBA team, and so long as he’s playing college ball the NBA team retains (or can

Hockey too. 18 yr old common draft, everyone eligible. Some go to college, some go to juniors, some go straight to the NHL. No declaring. If you’re not drafted, or choose not to sign, you go to college, or wherever. Team retains your rights for 2 years in juniors, 4 years in college. This should cut down significantly

Or the hockey model. Players can get drafted at 18 regardless of where they are playing. They can enter the league right away, or choose to go play juniors or college. Certain top junior leagues (OHL, QMJHL, WHL) give stipends making you ineligible for college hockey, and others allow you to still play college

Because fuck that. People are trying to come up with a solution that is equal parts fair for 2 multi billion operations and an 18 year old kid. Fuck the NBA and the NCAA and let them declare for the draft when the the kid wants.

I could see a lot of people falling through a hole in that model if they declare and then don’t have the results they hoped for. It already happens occassionally with Collegiate players declaring for the NFL and then regretting it.

That’s probably worse for more people.

Personally, I think this is the ideal solution, and one that is mostly fair to everyone.
