It’s Barry’s, he broke his ankle and posted it on Twitter....

Poor, poor, 18-year-old Mile Svilar ... made himself a target for Manchester United’s more experienced scorers.

I live about an hour from where this happened. I’ve read or listened to a few dozen stories on this. So I know the detail too. End of the day, they have to live with knowing they felt a friend behind. Couldn’t look myself in the mirror if I’d done that.

The rest of the group had run, assuming every one of them was running. ONE of them saw that she hadn’t gotten away. They went for help immediately. Like not even a few minutes. She and the rapist-murderer were gone when they got back.

I don’t care what anyone says; this is the man who got paid to quit the Buffalo Bills. Doug Marrone is a goddamn genius.

It feels great when my own jokes are explained to me. It’s awesome, actually.

With that being said, why did the coach not run at least one more up the middle to burn some more time?

I agree it can be hard to have tarnished built up images we have of people, esp. when we hear down the grapevine how they have issues. I also will say it is worse when you put people on a pedestal and take them down only to find the reasons behind you ‘cancelling’ them are somewhat flighty rumors at best, or outright

Seriously? Every single NBA player has at least six secret accounts for booty calls and dick pics.

Ok, I was half way reading this when I felt “weird” about all these women jonesing on this young man, which is fine. Because he is interesting, and of age.

I blame the media and the public for playing up these stories of how they saved their property with a garden hose. No one ever mentions the fact that they were on a fringe part of the fire and the danger level was low. Putting out small fires on a couple trees is one thing but facing down a legit forest fire with a

1. Good on him him for taking the train even though he obviously doesn’t need to save the few bucks on parking. It’s easier anyway a lot of the time if there is traffic. I much prefer the train for travel between Boston and DC.

I did that for awhile, too.

I’m from Philly originally, but spent my college/20s in NYC. Got sick of the rising Manhattan apartment rents at the age of 30-ish and moved back to Philly and found a a much cheaper (and nicer) apartment near 30th st. station where you can catch the Amtrak. Only did the commute for a few

The NER is 10 minutes slower than the Acela and monthly it’s $1000 from Philly to NYC. I had a co-worker who did this as well. His wife had a better job in the Philly area than she could get in NYC and the rent+ticket was cheaper in Philly than comparable in Manhattan. His commute was ~100 minutes door to door, so 200

I too would leave a godless hellscape for a thriving city with countless theater options, even if the latter has areas that smell like exploded ass. I’ve never visited Philly and not thought “I’m never coming here again.” I thought it when I visited LaSalle and got lost, passing a man urinating on a literal car fire.

I’m pretty sure Wilt actually lived in Harlem because he owned Small’s Paradise, a fairly famous night club, and wanted to be close to his investment.

Maybe he’s recognized a lot more in Philly, and heads to NYC where he can see a movie without getting bothered too much.

Shit, a lot of the world just locks themselves into their TV-land every night — I’ve experienced it in Finland and the East Coast of America — so there is nothing at all to do at night, unless you want to go hang out with drunks at a bar, which I can’t do with my kids who I absolutely want with me because they’re fun

I’m no Lisa Bloom, but I’ve had a slow couple of months in my practice, and I took a client to request a reasonable accommodation and defend a mental disability on an eviction. I struggled ethically taking him because he said something racist, but his check still cashed, and I needed the money, and he has the right to
