The SVSM game at YSU when they lost 58-57 is the one I wish I had been to. Dug up some highlights here:

But could it be a good thing? It felt like Lost and True Detective tied themselves in knots just to make sure the nerds weren’t right. I could see the appeal of a show that’s actually guessable. The suspense may be gone a bit, but fan engagement might be higher. Not sure, tbh, just thinking out loud.

Doesn’t seem like the Russian skating duo feels the same way about yellow stars.

Your username is fitting here, ha. Ok, I agree, the tech changes do affect 54 being reached.

54 on an 18-hole golf course, PGA Tour. Has the same round number allure (3.0 shot average per hole), just far away enough to be all but impossible, just close enough to dream about.

And same with Carmelo trade; why do the Knicks love bidding against themselves?

Now playing

Ignore the commercial babble at the end, but I’ve always thought this video from the game deserved more attention as well.

Look at Mike Miller for a similar example. Guys who make friends and can shoot stay in this league a longggg time.

Heh it took way too long for someone to say it.

I dunno, I thought they had a lot of ok NBA bodies in the frontcourt that could make it work. I’m not saying Ed Davis and Aminu and what not belong in the Hall, but there should be enough parts to assemble a average frontcourt to go with above-average backcourt.

And also somehow revived the careers of Nick Young and to a lesser extent, Mozgov. Just give Walton Coach of the Year already. I’m slightly joking, but not by much.

I’m hoping he has a Coughlin-like change of heart.

Thanks for sharing. That was hard to read. I think unfortunately you were right to stop playing. Contact sports could lessen a lot of criticism if they’d just stop ignoring those injured.

Gracious response, Barry, thanks for the clarification.

From your lips to the CEO’s ears ;) Viacom is always that stock that I almost buy but not quite.

Heh I hope so too, mainly because I’m bitter that I sold TWX too quickly, heh. I honestly sold it after I saw how poor Batman v Superman was!

I agree with a lot of that. The key is the last paragraph; he was giving his readers the right to call in and express themselves when no one else was. Now, however, any halfway-decent writer who is a fan can get their own blog and content distribution, and lots of writers allow fan letters.

Heh I know the chances were high that I was being trolled, but I’ve been “that guy” who didn’t get the obvious joke before.

Concur.
