I did some work there back in ~2007 when it was Hovensa. I don’t think I was experienced enough to notice anything unusual, but I enjoyed the short time I was there anyway. It was basically an excuse to have a week long trip to the island although I was at the refinery during daylight hours. The atmosphere was quite a

That doesn’t match my experience. The anime was largely an episodic show with occasional 2 parters or tie backs to the character arcs. There’s no way this should be a serial show. Keep it episodic. The only ongoing backstory should be whatever develops the character. The worst case would be if this turned into a

Yes I can agree. Episodic format leads to more focus on characters and their relationships as this is the only constant thread episode to episode (besides the background setting of the federation universe). The individual stories of most Trek episodes can be cheesy at best, but it’s the characters that bring it all

No HDMI in? That means no more XBOX as pass through for TV. I admit, the XBOX is online probably 95% of time just to watch TV. If I upgrade, it will be sitting idle and unused most of the time. Might actually be used less since now I have to find the controller, switch the A/V, etc. I might rent less movies through

You found the hole in my statement; there are still regional plays where Wind does not compete as well. PJM is one of those. I would say this is a function of wind resource more than anything. I also would see why “big coal” would have some pull in this market as it includes WV after all.

The truth of the matter is it doesn’t really matter what the pres says about wind. The industry has reached the critical mass that it can sustain itself with or without help from the government. It’s more likely that a conservationist would have better luck blocking a wind farm in the name of land use/species

One’s a “Hungarian Pointer” and the other is a “Hungarian Pointer”. Can you tell which is real?

Seeing the phone in this picture face down is giving me anxiety.

“Our primary responsibility is to do the work we’ve each been hired to do, not to spend working time on debates about non-work topics”

We’ve been having local firefighters into our office to train on these types of battery fires and other first responder aspects of electric vehicles. This is because our company just delivered a few battery electric busses for the local transit agency. I’m sure many municipalities are doing the same.

By some measures, they’re the most energetic events in the Universe, thanks to their long lifetimes of hundreds of thousands of years or more.

Man I can't use it. I still hold a grudge against my parents for using it. It seems like such a cop out...

It’s pretty much a given for any show that it’s all about the characters... Especially when the format is episodic.

All these beer tap handles and no Brewers. Boo.

Counterpoint - my Amazon delivery works very well and I don’t need to worry about reading the website before clicking the buy button. Everything is grand in Amazon land.

Also, not only are the people who complain a minority, a good portion of those are also outside the city and area in which the incentives are being applied.

I listened to the Planet Money podcast about this deal and was surprised that they actually concluded that this is a good deal. Didn’t expect that from an NPR report. It was also clear they were going in expecting to find some negativity about all the incentives, but after poking around they found not much other than

Don’t the shutdowns just turn into a paid vacation with deferred payment? I understand the importance of cash flow, but does a shutdown really make you poor?
