I don’t think that’s unique to games. That line could easily be for the back of a book or a movie synopsis. It’s tough trying to sell your art while being 1) descriptive enough so someone knows what they’re getting, 2) vague enough so they are surprised, and 3) original enough so you stand out from everything else.

I played this game a dozen times as a kid and never finished it. I would always restart it once I got stuck and had forgotten what the hell I was doing (always around Turtle Rock). And now I find out it had a gut punch ending?!?
