Thanks for the article, it really struck a chord with me.

Thanks for the coverage! I'm fucking excited for this!
Unfortunately powerful ones seem not to...
What about Republicans and Democrats?
Maybe neutral players shouldn't have access to either side's gear?
1.) You believe that only women want women avatars, this is incorrect.
I think that a better argument against regulation is the free speech one. There are lots of things that deal with underage sexuality (Lolita, Alan Moore's Lost Girls, The Virgin Suicides, etc.) that some people would call pornographic. Once you begin banning books, however obscene the general public may consider them,…
I definitely agree with that on sports games (though to be fair I am definitely biased, as sports in general don't hold a lot of interest for me; maybe if there was a hiking simulator or something I could get into that...) I wouldn't count any open world games on my list of top games, though I think it's usually the…
I know, right? Clever fuckers.
But I wanna know now!
Man, I'm just happy to actually talk about these things with someone who has a different perspective without it being about why these games should/shouldn't exist. I totally get why this isn't for everyone but no piece of art ever can be. I don't begrudge anyone for playing any sports game, although I personally don't…
I don't think that those are the options, maybe just the two extremes. I think that where games are heading is similar to film, to a point where excitement and heart can be blended a little more (Mass Effect is a decent example of this).

So... everyone that finds value in artistic works that deal with sadness are "depressed psychopaths?"
They could be both though, no? Wouldn't Last of Us qualify as both? Or the Walking Dead games? I think that something can be both fun to play and deal with mature themes in a smart way. Hopefully the fact that there are more "art" games means that the AAA industry can step up their game a bit in making huge titles…
Basically the same reason that Schindler's List isn't technically a "movie."
Hehehe.
