I see what you mean. It's like parking lots here in Brazil: about 15 years ago, you would park at a supermarket, shopping center, etc. and that was it.

I got a Samsung E1190 for GBP10 when I was in the UK last year. The battery lasts for ages (over a week, easy), it's small, nice. But it's a very basic dumb-phone, with no music player, no fancy tools and options, no Bluetooth.
If it's a good touch screen, and most nowadays are, then you'll like it in the end. I type/swipe pretty fast on my Android with Slide IT, and before that I really loved T9. But what I really like is the speed in scrolling/swiping through menus.
