One should probably acknowledge that they are a part of it, though.

Wow. Didn't expect Jezebel to post something this ridiculous (she says, half jokingly)

"Young women take selfies because they don't derive their sense of worth from themselves, they rely on others to bestow their self-worth on them — just as they've been taught.

Okay, this is an issue I hold dear to me for stupid reasons, and I have to defend my selfies. So I'm just copypasting from a little thing I already had written. Apologies for the long post and its almost narcissistic vibe, but I mean what I say here.

I'm... Rob Burgundy?

I've lived in Southeast Michigan for 25 years now. I've seen Kym Worthy in various roles in high-profile cases for almost that long. She has always impressed me with her no-nonsense approach to the pursuit of justice. No grandstanding, no BS, just an attitude of "This is wrong, and I am going to use the power I have

Worthy IS a badass. She takes her time to charge because she wants to make sure the charge sticks.

Whoa. That is badass.

Yes. I think Renisha McBride and I think "There's one lucky lady!"

Yes, that's her. They've found over twenty serial rapists and one serial KILLER after testing just a few hundred of the over 11,000 untested rape kits.

Yes, that's her! She is SUPER badass.

Love Kym Worthy. She's been on a big drive to get funding so that all of Detroit's untested rape kits are finally investigated.

Don't you think those are two separate issues?

Isn't Kym Worthy the prosecutor that was fighting to get all the untested rape kits in Detroit processed? She seems like a badass. She gives me hope that this case will not be the fucking travesty of the Trayvon Martin case.

"I'm confident when the evidence comes it will show that my client was justified and acted as a reasonable person would who was in fear for his life," Wafer's attorney told the Detroit News.

Sensing his fear for his life, the shotgun accidentally discharged itself and killed the woman. I declare the man innocent.

I remember that guy! The delusion was strong in him. He seriously seemed to believe that if they could just all do a better job of explaining that women and people of color deserve to be second-class citizens, we'd all "get it" and start actively voting against our own interests.

I heard a Republican political analyst on NPR after the last presidential election saying that the reason the GOP failed to win was that they hadn't "effectively communicated" with women and minorities. He said that the GOP needs more women and minority politicians to "explain the Republican platform to them." God,

Lisa Kudrow's been fucking ripping it up. I'm so glad that she's been able to move past Phoebe.

Man Bros love to get naked together. I'm sorry but this all sounds like straight up group sexual assault.
