I don't know. As I recall, all those signatures are paid for - proceeds going to his childrens charity. So if he signed, she paid for it. In that case, I think the story is more like Deuce Bigelow 3: "Signatures" ... For A Fee!

That's fantastic! You wouldn't think it would be a factory issue, and the Japanese were already solidly into their period of building of near-bulletproof cars at that point, but 1986? Who knows. When I had the car, I was thinking it was the pinnacle of refinement. Looking back, the difference to today's cars is…
That's pretty wild if true! What year was yours? I loved mine as well, but always lusted after the '83 280 that my friend's dad had.
What do you mean? You making fun of me for being old?! I'm pretty sure the voice module/computer was under the pax seat.
82 911 SC: Loved the ignition on the left; but quirkier was the heat exchanger system. I daily drove the car and winters were tricky. Being air-cooled, it wouldn't get to temp without being driven, but without heat, it was near impossible to get the windows clear enough to drive anywhere to build heat!
I don't think it's ugly. Overall, I like the lines. But I despise headlamps (and Ferrari is not alone in this) that run up the fender line. So much hate for that design element that it turns me off of an otherwise attractive car.
YES! Thundershift 500 FTW! I don't remember if it had a loop, but THUNDERSHIFT is simply an awesome name. Go on — say it, you know it's awesome.
Hunting bugle; mail horn. Hunting bugle; mail horn. Hunting bugle; Deutsche Post. Yeah, you win!
I honestly cannot recall losing anything in the mail. (Not to say it hasn't happened, just that I can't recall it.)
Thanks - I tried to do the whole pic thing but the caption covered the entire pic.
I heart hunting bugles?
Okay, I'm a little fuzzy on my Merc tuners, but let me try this. AMG is formerly the tuner god of Mercedes. They did their thing so well that Mercedes brought them in-house. Now Brabus is the tuner god of Mercedes and they tune Mercedes' AMG models.
So many corners! Let's go drive!
Yeah - and it would've re-kindled an historic partnership.
Wow - thanks for that. That is a fantastic machine.
Exactly! Avast, ye scurvy dog, I'm passing you ... to the outside.
I'm not sure of the wisdom of racing with one eye, but Ernie always gets props in my book for coming back from his horrific shunt to race again ... wearing an eye patch.

@Saaj: Before I scrolled down and cheated to see what pauljones said to you, I predicted that he would say something like interaction with any car gets you into the culture and I think it's true. Your follow-up to paul indicates to me that you're already a part. You had fun with the MPV, an actual vehicle - despite…
I'm not going to defend pauljones — from what I've read of his, he can do that just fine. But I do think you should re-read his comment.
