I’ve been told that every generation thinks the generation that came after is going to fail and every generation that came before it was wrong. I realized though, that baby boomers talk like this. I get that baby boomers think they invented pop culture (amongst a myriad of many things), which somehow also means any

I don’t know Patrick. Maybe they're right. Maybe all that's left of car culture is made up of old men. It just Depends.

It’s fucking art. He said something, he didn’t do anything. What other may do, may do, or have done is not his concern.

But Johnny Cash is a national treasure, right? Remember all the songs he wrote about shooting women? Oh, but because he’s a white country singer we look past shit like ‘Deliah’s Gone’ where he tied a woman to a chair and then shot her twice. Or ‘Cocaine Blues’. Double fuckin’ standard...

Yeah like holy shit if I was held responsible for things I said / did at that age?

I’m growing more and more uncomfortable with the seemingly increasing progressive notion that people’s backgrounds must be fully delved into and punishment doled out for things they did years and years ago, retroactive, permanent punishment. It strikes me as so anti-liberal.

When I test-drove the ATS-V in Carmel Valley a couple weeks back I was floored by how composed and planted it was. It felt like a 2/3 scale GT-R. I never approached the edge of its capabilities, nor would I likely ever be able to do so.

I’ve never quite understood why people would want to slide around a corner. You mean you want less control from your car while simultaneously going slower and burning up tires? If I want to slide a car around I’d rather win the race first by not doing that, then do some smoky burnouts and donuts to celebrate.

I let Dani and Lindsay hog every session of the day to give them as much track time as possible. You dickheads owe me. Like, big time.

I’ve owned several 911’s including a 700hp turbo and currently have 2 outlaws similar to magnus’s SCHR & STR. I can tell you that lift oversteer only happens on the street when you’re driving faster than you should be.

As a young person who’s cars are both over 30 years old. You can politely fuck off.

And you’re defeating your own argument that this rustbox relic Porsche isn’t adequately built to stop in such a dire situation. The M4 in your link is quite a bit more modern and yet the driver still lost control.

If you’re going fast enough to induce throttle lift oversteer like that, you’re driving WAY too fast for conditions.

...and being nose-to-nose with oncoming traffic means you’re on a public street, and no matter how good you are, ten-tenths (never mind inadvertent eleven-tenths) driving on a public street has a chance of not ending well... and possibly taking out innocent bystanders who didn’t sign up for your idea of fun.

From the way it looks I think he was planning to go wide into the next lane around the truck or back into the parking lot, and the oncoming cars were the unexpected element. If event organizers weren’t blocking roads, or at least spotting for oncoming traffic, he absolutely should’t have been driving like that. Even

Incidentally, I also lost any shred of respect I had for Magnus after this. You literally spend your life around old 911’s, you know how they behave, and you’re driving one like that on an open public road with an innocent reporter in your passenger seat? Not to mention there’s tons of other people driving their

Not to be a dick, but WHY would you be going that fast when YOU KNOW YOU HAVE NOWHERE TO GO ANYWAYS!!!!!!...

Had a girl in the car the other day and a guy pulled up next to us in one of these, looked at us, and then stalled. Go do that to every couple you see

Go to a childrens hospital and offer kids rides in a three-wheeled-AutoBot/Batmobile.
