I ride:
As a club racer, I would say that Fangio is also a spiritual father of mine. I don’t need to dig the legend up, I just want to inherit his corner speed.
See! my star just put you one over Brother’s..... I agree and now, qualitatively, you’re correct.
that’s when you get up front of them and toss a brick out the window. Sometimes, people just ask to loudly to not oblige.
But the core reason they’re bad drivers is because they’re unpredictable. Once we went kart racing with our buddy Pavel. every corner, every lap, he would take a different, strange line. Slowest guy on track, hardest to pass. Same goes for the street often times. it’s hard to predict the unpredictable.
When a slower driver is in front of me and won’t move out of the “passing lane”, the first thing I do is move more into the left of that lane and turn my left blinker on. I find that flashing high beams just causes more issues. Move over so they can see your blinker in their driver’s side mirror and they get the…
The left lane is the passing lane, not the “fast lane”. Why do you need t F you disposition behind the wheel. Drive in the middle lane, when someone slower is in front, move to the left, pass, then move back into the middle. What you’re saying is you decide how fast everyone should be driving and that’s that. No one…
Glad that we jointly carry the torch.
Dougie.... can I call you that? Great! Okay, so you’ve hit a very soft spot for me here. Every day, I lament that my fellow drivers here in the US of A have, on average, a rudimentary understanding of how to drive at best. The left lane is for passing. nothing more. Move it or lose it. We Americans think of driving as…
I’m curious Monkey, what’s your daily whip?
I can’t argue with that choice at all. Hug(e)h choice!
It should be out there. Why not? A mercedes CLA45 as mentioned above would be better? No real rock star wants to show up in the same car as their finance manager. Sex, drugs, rock & Roll and a beautiful, vintage sports cars. That’s all the elements in the equation.
The one we run we purchased. We collaborate with Jaguar often. Great brand. This car just isn’t for me. People listen to Classic Car Club’s thoughts on cars, so it’s our responsibility to be honest about it. Otherwise.....we’re just like everyone else.
This is a style statement more than anything else. A rocker needs to look good. A rocker needs to dig into the crates to unleash him/herself from the coils of modern product marketing. A rocker needs to SHOW people cool, not conform to it. A rocker needs a Renault Alpine and he/she will be the coolest mofo on the…
I’ve driven this car a number of miles. Pretty yes, but the handling and driving dynamics are miserable. I think it was made by the marketing department more than the engineering team.
I don’t believe “terminal understeer” is a thing. Understeer exists, sure, it’s when the rear tires have more grip than the front tires. To overcome understeer, the driver needs to turn the front wheels in the direction of the slide (and, sometimes, reduce throttle a touch to place more weight on the front tires to…
