Part 1:
Yeah the trick is, their current stable of cars is long in the tooth, so they could limp along with minor refreshes as other makes roll out new and improved cars, or just dispense with the illusion and kill them. Not like anyone’s going to shed a tear for the Fiesta, Taurus, or Fusion.

Part 2:
Wow, a not-hot-take

Heaven forbid people buy what THEY want, they should buy what YOU want. You know better than everyone, you are the automotive orthodoxy.

Front wheel drive. Not a sports car. Four door car of lies.

ANY VEHICLE OUTSIDE MY PREFERENCE SHOULD NOT EXIST, TRUCKS SHOULD BE ROUGH AND HARD, YOU KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN!

I’ll say first that I agree with the premise that speed cameras are generally unconstitutional and are sold under false pretenses (safety).

That being said, for the sake of argument, if you look at it like a tax instead of a fine that shifts the discussion. Considering that all cities require money to run, and to do so

Relevant to marketers. You’re talking to this crowd as though you’re pitching to a prospective client.

Views =/= relevance.

Also the social square videos work there because of how social feeds are structured. View them on a phone or laptop and they work in that layout. VV barely work in mobile layouts, and for sure

by “content” you mean “commercials” or “social junk”. Don’t conflate broad relevance with social media viewing patterns.

No manual, #sad

Why settle?

Right, my point, if there is one, is that for an enthusiast car being a “better commuter” isn’t really relevant.

Very common.

It’s hard to say you like one better without trashing the other. Truth is Subaru made them too close for comfort.

Regardless, I drove both (wanted a BRZ actually but a tad too small), preferred the STI. Put it in S# throttle response is great, preferred the feel of the STI chassis setup, shifting, and steering.

WRX

Author misstated, Brembos are standard, Recaro seats are an option, if you drop $40k usd you’ll have them.

Also trunk swap (what I did to de-wang).

Regarding the wing, my wife had the same opinion (I wasn’t nuts about it either). You can option it without in the highest spec, but also you can easily find a WRX owner who wants to swap trunks (what I did), may even give you some cash on top.

This is a really tired statement that people parrot because the Engineering Explained guy said it. If by better commuter you mean better fuel, economy, softer ride, number steering, and less connected shifter (or an auto). Then yeah, it’s a “better commuter”.

I daily my STI, and I guess I’m one of the crazy ones that

Walter the West Highland Terrier in the 2003 Miata I no longer own.

Is the data not brand reliability, general first year car reliability?

Additionally, why is it so terrible that it has “Average” predicted reliability?

It’s analytics, predictions, and advice. That’s why they use terms like “Average” to state reliability.

Additionally “Science” is the process of collecting data, processing it, and predicting results. Sounds kinda like science to me. It’s not a “fact” and is not presented as such.
