The Renault Spyder could've easily made this list, too.

Good to have you back, Alfa Romeo.
Zagato survives because they are completely insane. They have made just as many fugly cars as they have made gorgeous ones. That's why they are legendary.
What they tell you when you buy one is that the safety of the glass is pretty much not compromised when these layers start separating, in relation to getting shot. But you won't be able to see properly, and that's a safety issue in itself.
They do have all three of those. I wrote a reply about seeing one of these cars that was used to drive Kofi Annan which had Tear gas, Oil slick and spikes. Sorry, no smoke.
What happens is that the layers of the glass start separating, and this weird air bubble starts forming which affects visibility. Once that starts to happen you either have to replace it or some places repress the glass, but the repairs are never perfect.
About 9 years ago, my friend calls me up out of the blue on a Sunday afternoon and tells me he's spent the day with his mom at work (at the time she worked as a sort of tour guide for very rich/important people who came to São Paulo on business) an that there's something he wants to show me and he's coming over to my…
Yes!!!!
Von Dutch XAVW motorbike, made with a beetle engine!
That is a completely fake ad, for a car that is not for sale.
Occasionally they are on BaT. I would say, get an 84 or later as they have a better looking and better built body. Not that you won't find rust (especially up in the Pacific NW) but the earlier cars were built by Karmann and would rust if you sneezed on them. I you end up looking for one, the age-old advice stands:…
Thanks! I get that feeling when I look at it too.
By the way, the "stance" in this pic with the nose looking like its pointed down, is a bit of an optical illusion as the car is not parked 100% parallel to the lines on the ground. Just FYI.
The one in my car is just like that. I thought we had the newer model, and that the one with green lights was older... Now I feel even cooler.
Yeah! I remember it was overhead on the E30's and I think on the E28's too! That's even cooler...
Hey man, if you're in the states, they're not that hard to find, and not even that expensive, even the good ones. So if you really want one, they are surprisingly obtainable! (Maintenance, on the other hand, can be expensive...)
Cool, you gave good taste! My car - which was my first car, if you can believe that - is a 1985 635csi. The color (recently re-painted) is called Diamantschwarz metallic, and those are 17" BBS wheels that were optional on the E39 5 series, and I think standard or optional on the 8 series too. I don't know the code…
Thanks! Mine is an 85 model which just got a re-paint in the factory color Diamantschwarz metallic.
HA! I have that on my 635csi and I love it!!! It makes me feel I'm starting up Starship Enterprise. Except when one of the little lights goes on (except for the coolant sensor one which is always on because it's busted)... It's a "let's see what you need to spend lots of money to fix" button, and I love it!
Yes, except for the stupid remnant of Roger Moore era bond when he is getting shot at by drug lords and the noise of the bullets hitting the trucks play the james bond theme. That was stupid.
