So, I need to start claiming 6' to be taller? No men are actually the height they say they are?

Now playing

Soon to be the DeSantis walk out theme music...

Right, it’s such a weird thing to lie about when it’s so obvious.

If you have a two inch gap at the front of your boot you need to buy smaller boots... unless you’re wearing those medieval curly, pointy boots.

5'8" here and same.  I’m certainly not going to wear stupid inserts or anything.  What difference does it make?

Ironic that the guy who’s cracking down on lgbtq stuff wears high heels.  Oh well, every accusation...

You should get smaller boots if you have “an inch or two” of extra room. That’s... absurd.

You know we’re all just laughing at DeSantis, right? He has a looooooooong list of offenses that we consider him “bad” for, and lying about his height isn’t anywhere on it.

Do two inches make that much of a difference? I’m 6-2 and if I was an even 6-0, and I don’t see any advantages/disadvantages to that difference.

Being 5'7", I can tell you that it matters. Women on dating apps will put minimum height requirements in their bio, usually 5'10" or more, even if they’re 5'2". Taller men look down on you, not just literally, but take you less seriously and make jokes about it. You have to just suck it up too, because if you say

He definitely is not scared of you, bro. He WOULD be scared of going into the downtown part of a major city, though.

If he was a private citizen, he’s be driving a Hummer or a big-ass Ram (with a hemi) to prove how manly he is.

Anyone who’s seen a little kid wearing their Dad’s shoes recognizes Rob’s gait from the vid where he’s walking across the stage - his boots are several sizes too large for him, and he’s being super careful about where he puts his feet so he doesn’t trip.

A few head scratchers here:

Speaking of Vietnam, being over 6' sure feels like I caught the last chopper out of Saigon. There’s this whole subculture of men and women who obsess over men needing to be 6' and I’m so glad I never had to deal with the bad side of it.

“If you can’t lie about your height, how can we trust you to be dishonest about all the other stuff?”

There is something so pathetic about someone who has to constantly tell you how much of a manly man he is...

“they’re supporting someone who can’t even be honest about their height.

This means that they just passed the first test of being a GOP candidate with flying colors.

I am a 6'0" man, so height has never been an issue for me.

Basically the same as Trump claiming to be 6'3".
