I remember it being pretty easy preordering the Switch and PS5 when the preorders first went live. It was only after they launched (talking more for the PS5) when people were like “Oh, crap. This will be hard to get my hands on.”

Steam, maybe, but I see much deeper discounts on physical games for consoles. That doesn’t even take into account clearance, BOGO, used games, etc.
