Competent plot and Kingdom Hearts don't go together.

I thought it was great. Kingdom Hearts 2 had a terrible plot and Kairi was pointless in it as well.

Nice characters die. It's not all sunshine and rainbows all the time. It sucks, but it's kinda unrealistic to think all the nice characters are going to survive... Which goes for any tv show, movie, game.

Decently appealing is subjective. Lots of people like the colors. If Nintendo is really holding back the "good colors," they would've only released one or two. Lol

Gray is just gray. I don't see how it's ugly, but okay.
