I don’t think the prequels added anything either and they took away from the originals as well.

Probably nothing good. Only reason the originals were good is because Lucas had people to tell him, “No, this is a terrible idea.”

I’d take a retread over two of the prequels any day. I liked RotS though.

I was 8 too and loved the movie. I’ve seen it numerous times over the years and think it’s pretty bad. If you want to keep your memories untainted, don’t watch it.
