I hope you don't actually mean the PC version... As far as I remember, the PC version played exactly like the previous title, and wasn't the free-roam sandbox swingfest of the Xbox and PS2

The "classic" line is styled similar to the original MoTU/PoP figures, and takes the majority of it's focus, but yes, it does also take its cues from expanded fiction - such as those little comics that used to come with the old figures.

I just checked the trailer out again, and something occurred to me: YOU NEVER SEE ANYONE TAKING A SHARP CORNER!

Looks like a straight port of Sega Racing Classic with the Daytona name put back on it, which sadly was a straight port of the original Daytona, pop-up and all... The only difference was it was rendered at a HD resolution.

THIS IMAGE IS MENTUSS APPROVED

Pre-CU wasn't fun for me, I was a Wookiee, AND a Smuggler. It wasn't until CU when Wookiees actually got a full range of armours, and smugglers mods stacked with any other ranged profession that either became any where near viable for me.

There is "hope": People have already been reverse-engineering the game, and they are developing open source server software that runs in the earlier, "Pre-Combat Upgrade" version of the game.

Your image didn't show up, but you're absolutely right. Hopefully, it should show up in my post though.

I agree with you. A first person Superhero game comes off as a horrible idea to me.

Personally, I 'd rather see a port of the DC version, with fixed controls.

Give me a port of the DC version with updated controls and you can take all my money twice.

If Sumo digital are responsible for it (who Sega seem to go to for conversions of their driving games) it will more likely than not be HD. Outrun Online Arcade was.

The fact it's called "Daytona USA" and not "Sega Racing Classic" makes me feel joy. Lots and lots of lovely joy.

Frank is so obviously pissing on the floor between the two urinals, there.

"the buttons switch out analog stick control..."

I find the typeface used on the Genesis and European Megadrive's "16-BIT" always looked a bit cheap and tacky compared to the Japanese one.

It's a bit more complex than that.

Actually, for this one, it's none of the above.

ARTHUR! MY MOUSTACHE IS TOUCHING MY BRAIN!

Not so much remake as a reprogramming, really.
