Susan Elizabeth Phillips, definitely, she's great, and I agree with you about Catherine Coulter. Her novels are full of very disturbing scenes of rape, humiliation, not good, and not enjoyable to read. Wouldn't call them "romances", that's for sure.

Laura Kinsale wrote my favourite Historical Romances, smart, touching, sexy.

I have a Toyota Corolla, which I've had for 3 years, and it's a solid, reliable car, not very fun to drive, an automatic. I much prefer driving my husband's Mazda 3 hatchback. Maybe because it's a manual transmission, and also smaller, but it just feels zippier, and easier to navigate in parking lots/small spaces. My

When I had Zoom done a couple of years ago, I was driving back to work and kept kind of shrieking when the nerves went crazy...it wasn't pleasant, and felt like I was chewing on tinfoil for a couple of days. The results are pretty great, though.

You will love Nova Scotia, my husband and I went there for a week two years ago, rented a car, and just drove around, staying in b & b's while we travelled from place to place. It's lovely, many historic sites to see, driving is easy and not at all stressful, wonderful scenic views that just pop out of nowhere, and

I've just started using a combo of jojoba oil and lavender essential oil, each morning and before bed. My skin has been feeling wonderful, no breakouts (but I'm 46/still have the occasional zit, though). Sunscreen is the way to go, to prevent more, but we'll all age and get wrinkles, regardless. Just try and give your

I use a TP, too, not worried about STI's, but find that if I'm walking around afterward, I can suddenly feel like I've peed myself...which isn't nice. A tampon works well for an hour or two, and I don't dampen the clothes I'm wearing...yeah, that was weird, but reality...

I grew up watching Carol with my Grandmother, too. I think it was also Saturday nights her in Canada, and also just before the Sonny and Cher show.

I totally read it the same way you did.

No, it's not an accident, just incredibly self-indulgent, selfish, cowardly (eg. lying to the person who you are cheating on), and disrespectful. What's so hard about ending one relationship in order to pursue another? It's a choice, but the cheater takes the choice away from the cheated on. The Tori quote about not

He treated Mary Jo quite horribly throughout his epic cheating extravaganza. They had a son together, and had just adopted a baby together when shit hit the fan. Guess he is just (and still) a cheater.

He has a wonderful Argentinian accent, can whip up a pasta sauce with mushrooms, pancetta, AND BACON, and goes out every morning, even in -40C to warm up my car before I have to leave for work. Those are just the very tip of the iceberg :-)

I've always been kind of fascinated with the Lizzie Borden case. Wonder what really happened there, and the films made about it are interesting, but still can't answer the question.

I studied Spanish for nine months, using Duolingo, and all the podcasts I could find. I would listen to them on my way to and from work each day, and then spend about an hour each day studying Spanish Dict (doing quizzes), and "Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish" which is full of "shortcuts". Between all of these, I was

Beef and sausage meatballs with tomato sauce and rigatoni. Lots of garlic. We're having minus twenty five degrees (celsius) here in Winnipeg, so we needed some serious comfort food to get through.

I was the "best man/person" for my ex husband at his wedding, as well. He and I are best friends, have been for the past 17 years. We talk at least once a week on the phone, go out for lunch, and he and his wife visit with my husband and I. At Christmas, we have a holiday get together, and he and my Mom are still

This would work for me, can't believe you nailed it so well! I'll see this movie.

Love this, so sexy and dark. This was my introduction to Bauhaus in the 80's, and I still pull it out when I'm feeling vampy and odd. Thanks!

Stoned, or just shunned? It's interesting to be a smoker in these times. We have been relegated to smoking primarily in outdoor spaces (and even then we're cautioned not to leave any trace, or annoy others with our habit) or our own homes. This is fine, and I don't want to impact others with unwanted smoke or butts.

The paw over the eye...killed me. What a sweetie!
