Sadly, that doesn't surprise me at all.

You didn't say "Pretend you don't care." So what does "Grow a thicker skin" mean? Purposefully expose yourself to trauma over and over again until you either fall apart emotionally or become desensitized to it? Because being emotionally desensitized never did anyone any favors. Yes, there is "crappy stuff" that…
No, it isn't. We've learned first hand in many cases that Just Being Seen is enough to keep these monsters coming back. Preventing them from being seen, period, is the only way to get them to stop.
You gotta learn how to cut with the driest, most matter of fact tone. ;-)
Oh Lord. *shakes head sadly* What did they EXPECT?!
"Crime-fighting rodent Justice Beaver" BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Truth. Have YOU ever made arts and crafts as an adult sober? I haven't.
Yep. I saw the title for that one and went, "No way in hell am I going to give that page the click bait it so very obviously is attempting to get." Whoever wrote that should be ashamed of themselves.
Yeah, because that's exactly what we need. A higher resolution, CLOSER look at this hellish oozebeast. xD
So the fatberg was the right dip for your chip?
AW COME ON! DID YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT THAT FAR?! OH UGH! *weeps hysterically*
Sweet Mother of God. <nope.gif>
Not sure if serious....O_O;
I laughed so hard I snorked milk up my nose.
Her mouth is like Fergie's. So she's like Jessica Simpson and Fergie.
Nice fresh new sparkly burner account.
Before the internet, psychos like that were socially outcast because of their bad behavior. There's no way to do that on the 'net though, sadly enough.
One of the ways I found to get followers was to socialize frequently and politely with the regular posters, follow them, and once they got familiar with you and started liking your posts, they'd follow back out of politeness.
It's difficult to not see this as deliberate sexism since we're the only mainly-female audience in the Gawker network. But I'm trying to assume it was just laziness on the Admins part and not malicious misogyny.
I'm not quite An Old yet, I'm just 30, but I don't get it either. I think it's because I view socializing on the internet the exact same way as socializing in person, and I empathize with people I'm talking to, and those assclowns seem to have a sociopathic lack of empathy for humanity in general.
