While you're point came across just fine in the first place, you still fail to actually bring up a point that it is Max Temkins moral obligation or responsibility to be the one to open the consent discussion. He still had every right to treat what he said as a personal defense and just that. As for why YOU would wish

This was a mistake. There was no reason for a revision, especially if the revision still ignored several key things The biggest being that she was allowed to write this piece on here to begin with and not put it on her personal blog.

Your update did nothing to to address that he had no obligation whatsoever to address the issue of consent, which is what most of the criticism, from what I read anyway, came from.
Sure he COULD at some point go into a discussion about it, but this was definitely not the time for it, nor even anything that had to do

I'm not saying its not possible, but it could also be, at least personally, that by the time things ebbed down, Patricia's were the only ones that continued to stand out in terms of unrelated, reaching topics that really didn't seem appropriate for the subject matter. Like i said though, all the writers did it for a

I have, and I've been on kotaku for a long while. Admittedly, they've gotten increasingly better about not doing it, but for a long while just about all of them would post an article in similar fashion about every other week. Patricia has just been, at least in my point of view, the one who has done it most

And they don't even stick with it, I catch them all the time saying "Game Journalism" and calling themselves "journalists"

Get enough people to bring up "journalist" and they'll tell you Kotaku is a blog. It's happened in the past.

It's not. shes done exactly this for years. A lot of the Kotaku writers do/have done it in the past, but not as frequently.

Welp, if you've been around long enough, you'll remember that time and again that they've gone both ways to cover themselves; when people have commented that they've done this in the past, they've outright said "Relax, this is just a blog" and then within days start calling themselves "journalists" again.
I'm here for

You're gonna be here a while. She does this quite often.

It's why I'm here right now. Watching everyone shred her fallacies and bias.

Well... except for otters... they rape other otters to death. And baby seals... and whatever else they can basically get hold of... they're not very discriminate.

ANNNNND saved.

You know, I always realize this, and I can never resist clicking just because I enjoy reading all the comments calling her out on her crap.
Still though, always good to point that out to the uninitiated. God speed sir and/or madam!

I think a question has come to many of our minds when this was announced: Yahoo is still a thing?

Ya know what. If we were witches, don't ya think we'd use more of our hoodoo to get more lefty games? I mean C'mon. use SOME logic. We're not gingers.

Right? I mean we can't help being lefties, but THOSE people choose to do their evils.

I'm a lefty... and I'd NEVER abandon my starter! They're with me to the very end! and then beyond!

Well he's the head of a giant multi-billion dollar Mishima conglomerate now, with demon powers. HE BETTER THANK HIS FATHER FOR ALL HIS SACRIFICE.

Most people would argue that some styles in anime/manga are over-the-top ridiculous, to the point of Stupid. Might make sense in the context of the series, but ultimately seen as unstylishly ridiculous by the fashion concious world.
