100% true. That’s why, if you’re adopting, adopt two.

As Freakazoid once said, “Always ask for a piece of the gross, not the net. The net is fantasy.”

News outlets “mistakenly” run videogame footage as the real thing every damn time there’s a conflict. Sarcastic air quotes because vetting information is literally their goddamn job.

The grown-up version is how 90% of computer hardware reviewers on Youtube mispronounce the word “peripheral” as “per-IFF-ree-ul”. No, they’re not being ironic.

Yup. The way they manufacture a storyline for every athlete -- meaning only Americans, the other athletes of the world don’t exist -- like it’s reality TV is sickening.

I’m a big fan of how they frequently shrink the action to half-screen so they can show an ad - with audio - in the other half of the screen while the event is still underway. /s

Nobody looked at Eagly. Just saying.

The real gag is that that isn’t judo. And that it’s a comic book thing to shout “kiai,” but that’s the word for the shout to psych yourself up; you don’t literally shout the word.

Michael Hogan (Saul Tigh on the Battlestar Galactica reboot) slipped and fell at a convention and went to bed, thinking nothing of it. He had a brain bleed, and it left him paralyzed on his left side and unable to swallow.

They’ll dock his pay for the damage to the truck?

Nothing shouts “self defense” like having your mom drive you across state lines so you can pick up an assault rifle you had a third party buy for you and then go prowl the streets of a city you don’t live in, actively looking for people to shoot. While wearing gloves.

Nonstop, uncontrolled growth - the mindset of shareholders and cancer cells.

Until recently, Fox News was the propaganda arm of the Republican Party. Lately, though, it’s more like the Republican Party is the political arm of Fox News. They’re clearly the ones issuing the marching orders.

Is that bigotry against cryptids? Anti-chupacabra or anti-Bigfoot sentiment?

It saved the day more than once on Star Trek: Lower Decks, even in hostage negotiations.

The end clinches that the writers missed the entire fucking point. Hari’s hologram only appeared AFTER the crisis had been resolved. Because, y’know, foreknowledge would affect the outcome. Idiots. That’s how they knew that things had gone off the rails when the Mule appeared later on - Hari’s message had nothing to

It doesn’t strike you as a mob-style shakedown that they jack up the number of ads and then offer to make them go away for $10 a month?

The comments section on one of the sites I used to frequent disappears if you have AdBlock activated. Not disabled, it’s no longer there. But if I turn it off, I’m bombarded with popups and autoplaying videos.
