Can fandom launch a kickstarter to fund remedial astronomy classes for sci-fi writers? Just ... utterly basic stuff?

Those stupid ring explosions were added to the “special” editions of Star Wars and Jedi after the fact. They were proper spheres in the original releases. I guess Lucas got what he wanted ... there’s a couple generations now who have no idea that the original movies were altered.

In all seriousness, could someone point out one example of a non-white cosplayer being screamed at for cosplaying as a white character? If applied logically, this standard *ought* to mean that you are only allowed to cosplay as a character of the same ethnicity as you, which seems a wee bit limiting.
