This was very well done, although if I were to nitpick I'd say the lack of themes from Crash, Spyro, Kirby, Metroid, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear and Halo is a bit strange. Also, the Mortal Kombat part. That's a song from the movie, not the games.

Own and used would be 8 (Wii [AKA the Project M Machine], Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Tablet, Phone and 3DS). If we count owned outright, it becomes 18 (Xbox, PS2, GameCube, Dreamcast, DSi, GBA SP, NES, SNES, N64, Genesis).

While true, this is still the reason why DirectX 10 never took off. And really, all of gaming has stagnated due to Windows XP and how long lived the Xbox 360 and PS3 have been. Can only go so far with a 32 bit OS that's only capable of using 4 GB of RAM or a 8-9 year old system with 512 MB of RAM and outdated chips.

Wonder if this is going to be a major overhaul like DirectX 10 was, or if it'll just be an expansion of 10 like 11 was.

Blame Windows XP. Because that damn thing had to be supported for so long it really held back graphic progress with DirectX. It's why games that had no XP support had no XP support, it needed hardware and DirectX support that XP couldn't handle.

Same here. I got told by a few guys I was better with Gannondorf then I had any right to be. He might be rather bad but OH GOD he is so much fun to play as when you start wrecking shop in a 4 player free for all.

Yes, but he's about 15 spots behind Gannondorf, who is considered the worst character in the game. Meanwhile, just one spot ahead of Yoshi is the Ice Climbers, who are considered the second best character in the game. Although Yoshi isn't great, he's still considered better then at least 11 other characters.

Seems I'm not the only one who thought that. The likeness is uncanny if not intentional.

Really, it's easy to see what's going on here. Publishers and the console manufacturers are pissed that don't get any of the money from used game sales. They see every used game sale as a lost sale, just like they see every download of a game as a lost sale. Essentially, to them, used games are as bad as piracy.
