According to FAA, airplane on head-on collision course with you will appear stationary. This was an actual question on a written exam. I believe explanation is somewhere in AIM, but I do not remember section. When I fly, if I see another airplane-looking object, I would do a sharp right turn, not a dive.

Interesting.

Oh they can. 747s and A340's. Not sure about A380. I was there when Air France 340 landed.

I've been there. What seems weird is that pilot positioned his plane a bit too close to the fence. Jetblue flies somewhat smaller aircraft, and they should have plenty of runway available. A bigger 757 was positioned way further from the fence when it was taking off.

Still trying to get on Apple's good side.

A lot of metro stations in former USSR and republics are like that. Kiev metro system is very nice, clean, and with impressive stations.

If this is released with "get your own code" setup, it shouldn't be a problem for individuals. I am sure that Apple won't start banning iPhones in fear of pissing off their customers.

So stores are interested on making sure customers are happy, not just to get a buck. I worked in one for 3 years. Making sure customer is

@rchase001: My Sprint plan is $79.99 after all addons, with Smartphone, unlimited 4G data (that does not get throttled to a dialup speed after 5gbs)

A piece of insulation tape over IR sensor will solve that.

Just to add, soda machines were not as bad as it sounds. The left of the machine had a nozzle, that you can use to wash the glass. But nobody used machine's glass. Most people carried a small, collapsible glasses. After drinking, collapsible glass was rinsed (was tricky, since pressure is needed to wash it, but

I left USSR (well, it was 92, so it was not USSR anymore) at the age of 12. My grandmother's house had one of those arcades right outside. The fee of 15 kopeyka's was fairly modest. Typical salary was somewhere around 180 rubles a month. To give you few things to compare to, subway ride was 5, loaf of bread was 20

@yehoshua_ghitis: Take a look at OneNote 2010. Has a ribbon interface, but stays hidden most of the time.

@jft135: and it's fake. You cannot ride motorcycles in the exclusion zone. In fact, shots of her on motorcycle are outside of the zone. I saw those places. And she took bike helmet with her to take photos inside the zone. One of tour guides told us when I was there that everyone knows of that site and the guide who

@hurr. pancakes: It is. I was there in 08. I am originally from Kiev, about 60 miles away, and was there during the explosion.
