I was there in 2008. I kind of neglected my site, but whatever I have, you can see at www.chernobyl2008.com

@Mathyc: Yes, awesome idea. Let all workers get cancer
@IrishFeangol: Eh, nothing new about that with Apple. Their tactic is to patent anything that exists and sue everyone.
@bigcamcrsx: My FAR knowledge is a bit rusty, but non-intentional accidents can be reported to ASRS system (maintained by NASA), and you get a receipt after you submit an incident. That receipt is your immunity from FAA's wrath. And it guarantees your anonymity. FAA never gets your identity information.
@Piedmont_Bob: I've marshalled 737's in JFK some years back. My team was ready and in position before aircraft even approached the terminal. Not sure how other airlines do it, however... This was on T4, where laser system is used for marshalling, and I am not even sure why I was there... There's always just one dude…
@tylerstyle: To each their own I guess. I cannot stand naked android (AOSP ROMs out there). Lately, I am using Launcher Pro, but to me, AOSP dialer seems like a very half-assed attempt. Sense dialer kicks it's ass. The fact that I am still on Launcher Pro is because I am too lazy to go back and switch back to Sense.
@krawdaddy: My CFI forbids the use of GPS in cockpit. I have my Garmin 196 sitting in a side pocket for emergencies, but I never used it in flight.
@Tovansky: in NYC, they are largely ignored, since you hear them about 10+ times an hour.
No tackier than OSX' icon for Windows machines. 0E exceptions died decade ago.
@Alexander Riccio: I worked in JFK airport, cargo operations. Standing behind taxiing 747 was not fun. They did not power up their engines until they were about a football field away too.
@Ryan J Whiteman Nester: Looks like exhaust from the bomber created stream of air over F16's wing, causing lift on that wing alone. That's what caused it to tip.
@WampaCow: You can download apps to Android, WebOS, WP7, WinMo, and others.
@WestwoodDenizen: Considering that at cruising altitude you are WAY out of coverage area, both phones would fail. But still, great idea for commercial.
@WampaCow: Best cell phone - opinionated. To each their own. I, personally, cannot stand iPhone, no matter what network it's on.
Now if I can get Android version of this, I can die a happy man.
@yuriythebest3: in 2008 I was told that most houses aren't really safe. Some may need hard hats to be in, you never know when a brick will fall on your head.
@yuriythebest3: Ouch that's harsh. "Here, go play in the dirt, I will be back"
@goatsitter: It's not going to be inhabitable in Zone 1 for next 800 years or so. There are some people living in Zone 2.
@CubemonkeyNYC: Reactors 1 and 2 are still functioning, they serve as fuel storage and reactor must be running to maintain itself. I am not sure about Reactor 3.
@yuriythebest3: How did you pass the checkpoints? They do not allow people in without tour groups, unless you have authorization to be in a zone.
