Thought it was a Yukon, ah whatever - I think they died off because not too many people wanted to drive something that made Escalade drivers seem conservative and low-profile.

That car was fantastic, Ford USA deliberately ran it into the ground by only offering it with a wheezy V6 and failure prone autobox. When it died in the US, it continued to be the best affordable family car in the UK for the next 12 years with constant updates to the styling, powertrain, interior and it was available…
I always thought it was cool that viggen meant "lightning bolt" in Norse. Quite an accurate description for the car if you ask me!
Rob, as an admitted "hater" of all things youtube, I would like to let you know that I thought your vid was absoloutely great. It was informative, with just the right amount of humor and was a perfect tribute to the car you've pined over since you were in diapers. Folks saying you were vain are forgetting that vanity…
Thank you, I knew someone would bring this up. I think the Caliber is possibly the worst car ever made, and the SRT version did nothing to change it. If the article was entitled "What's the silliest version of a terrible car?" we would have a hands down winner.
If they felt the need to keep it, the least they could have done is dressed it up a little. It could look nice with a polished stainless stalk and maybe a wooden (looking) handle. Instead they just grabbed some crap out of the parts bin and slapped it in there to remind customers not to confuse their GM product with…
As an American who lived in Europe for most of the last decade, I found the best way to explain it: we own them because we can. Americans like big things and always have, they are a status symbol just like an A8 or a 7 series. I drive a new focus hatchback because I like handling and versatility in a frugal package…
100% right! There are times that you need power to safely overtake or get away from other inattentive drivers, but citing your own inattention as a reason to need power is not going to get anyone's support here. I see drivers here in El Paso that "forget" their exit is coming up all the time and they are all doing…
Nice! Drunk teenagers and a Challenger driver off the road. 2 birds with one obnoxious stone! Just kidding, challenger drivers aren't so bad - now if they had hit an Acadia we would have been in business :)
Looks like they just flipped em' over to display more tacky stickers...
I always thought it was funny that the 99T was so good way back when - but in 1999 Saab's vehicles were quite unimpressive - thanks the the financial hammer of GM's bean counters. I had a 9-3 turbo of that year and it was fun, but they really did lose a lot of what made them special when they went under the American…
I am constantly scanning for a good pre-GM 900 turbo. Wraparound windshield or go home!
Yes please! Preferably pre-GM nonsense...
I have noticed that on the highways between cities, texans are pretty good about lane discipline and general road manners - but once you get into the cities (el paso, lubbock and midland/odessa are my main examples) everything goes completely out the window and the typical commuter shows up firmly planted in the left…
He said way too many "I need you to" 's for me not to instantly see him as the entitled douche nozzle that he is. "Oh no, my hand hurts - stop everything until my needs are met and I get what I want - but let me take a secret video that I can twist out of context and try to make everyone think I'm a victim when I get…
It could be 20 years old, it's still better than a "new" corolla.
Especially if it's priced to compete with the (comical) 29k FWD Merc.
The older Fiesta's did the same thing - it's all about thin seats - look at the size of a new sub compact's seats compared to days gone by, they're three times the volume yet strangely less comfortable...
As an electrician who has been bitten BY the hand that feeds me I must respectfully disagree - I believe it is defined as killed or injured by electricity. Unless you are implying that Mr Musk has the power to telepathically connect with the Websters dictionary server and alter the definition; in which case, good show…
After I swapped my i4 diesel in my 87 golf for the newer 1.8tdi I was more than pleased. I'd say just like gasoline motors - if the car is built for economy, it sucks - but performance geared motors now a days are fantastic regardless of what it burns to make it go. Also my 2.0 tdci ford hit 60 in exactly the same…
