Me too! I always thought it was a cross between the failed Scorpio luxery barge and the 2nd/3rd gen Mondeo - ive had both. Very handsome, but in a non flashy, almost mobster kind of way. They are very popular here in El Paso And can be picked up for around $5-10k.

So it's exactly how I pictured it would be after I tested one :) - thanks for the insight. It helps to concrete my resolve to have one one day. I totally get the smiling every time you walk out to the car, I had a mildly race prepped MG that did that for me too, once upon a time; sigh...

Happy for you but sad for me - I needed a new car right away with another infant on the way (95 Scorpio Cosworth was fun but wife couldn't keep it pointed the right way). So I just have the hatchback w/sport and a manual. One more year and I can trade it in for the ST. How are they to live with?

GM does seem to have a habit of coming up with some fairly cool, innovative designs and then skimping on cost for some really glaring, annoying things and making the whole car seem a little, well - blah. Kind of like a turd on top of a wedding cake.

In hindsight, it is totally fugly, but I bet if I had got one of those as a teenager (1990's) I would have thought it was the coolest thing in the world!

That's a fad? I have been annoyed by these people for all the wrong reasons - they're not lazy, they choose to look stupid!

Why is everybody a freaking martyr nowadays? Here's a refreshing point of view - my life is pretty good, and I can't honestly say my job as a frequently deployed military dad is all that bad. There are rough patches - like now as I recover from spinal surgery to repair something that was broken by an rpg attack in

I think GM came up with this one first - I was driving a friend's 2011 vauxhall/opel Corsa rental as a dd with 3 drunks in the car in near hurricane weather and had the same exact fight with the indicators - nearly tore the steering wheel off in a fit of rage... Why on earth do manufacturers feel the need to "reinvent

What I find unusual is the type of cars in the video - not the usual "showing off wealth" cars. It seems strange to me that the three that roll by would be much better suited to a track than a crowded city street. True enthusiasts, perhaps? Or did the woman in the Ferrari simply buy the most expensive car the

Not a huge fox fan, but do appreciate a nice one. Saw a beautiful convertible 5.0 this morning at the neighbors and had to stop to compliment him for even keeping the classy factory wheels on it - I see too many here in El Paso that are either chromed out and hideous or thoroughly abused and neglected that an all

As much as I personally dislike Porshe, I must agree - not truly luxury cars, but as far as identity and brand synonymity (if that's a word) is concerned, a Porsche is the epitome of a high end, small sports car and is driven almost exclusively by enthusiasts of such - as long as you exclude the status symbol seeking

Thank you! It is nice to see so many commenters educated on just how terrible of a system the JD initial survey is at measuring ACTUAL quality. If they would have surveyed me after my first 90 days of owning my '12 Focus 5dr, it would have reflected poorly on Ford; I had a chk eng light come on, went to

I am just happy they centered the ad on the viper and not any of their (what I consider) mistakes. If instead of that beautiful, raw viper and the cool old plymouth I would have seen srt neons and calibers I would have been disgusted rather than moved.

I believe the English call that a "Cut and Shut". I think one of my Mondeos may have been a very well done example of that practice. Probably why they applied a copius amount of Waxoil undercoat at the dealer (to hide the welds). Still topped 200K miles with no problems though!

In 2004 I was serving with the US Air Force in the Eifel region of Germany and had a very near and dear to my heart 87 VW Golf diesel which was converted to a TDI 5 spd. I made quite a few mods to it (parts courtesy of the scrapyard, of course) and it became my own GTD clone creation. I was forced to sell it when I

The Contour met the same fate - Ford only offered the most problematic/undesirable configurations here in the States then killed it because no one wanted it. Europe kept it and evolved it into possibly the best mid sized affordable sedan for sale today - the fusion. I've heard rumors of a very nice updated ranger

Am I the only one who was actually cringing - scared he was going to bobble it and have it land on the Agera?
