The Escalade is also the only current Caddy with a real name. Trying to mimic the germans failed. It failed for Cadillac, it failed for Lincoln, it is currently failing for Infiniti. Lincoln looked at their lineup, threw it away, then brought back real, recognizable names to vehicles that defined Lincoln in their…
I think he meant that it’s good to see people being more fiscally responsible.
I have a fascination with #vanlife, full time RVing, overlanding, ect ect. and one common denominator I’ve noticed is how damn much money people ask for stuff like this. Considering how little it would cost to buy a clean Econoline and retrofit it with a few amenities, it makes me wonder if there’s any money ready to…
That’s ok, I drive through Bruntingthorpe every Tuesday to get to work in Lutterworth (used to work at Bruntingthorpe itself and often saw Astras flying around).
A friend lives in Upper Bruntingthorpe, ex US Air force base, bloody Americans, thinking they’re above anyone else ... I mean, sure, the planes were, but…
Toyota totally has the guts to bring back the MR2. The problem is that BMW and Subaru don’t have a mid-engine car to build it from.
are you fucking kidding me?
The Bronco is at Supra-level of anticipation for the everyman
Have you ever seen the F150 or the Ranger? Or how about you stop being such a poor a buy a GT
So original. You should use that line at parties.
That’s the problem, you can get a bigger, more capable truck for the same money. There were plenty of Gladiators at the local Jeep dealership for well into the $50k range. That’s 3/4 ton truck money. I love the idea of a Wrangler pickup priced to compete with midsize offerings, not so much priced against 1/2 to 3/4…
Someone in a bad automotive/financial situation asking for advice from someone with lots of automotive/financial experience is an idiot?
So where do we draw the line on that? If the manufacturer of the car provides a document that says the car has forged piston rods, should I disassemble the engine to check? Of course not.
Think of it like Tesla removing a stereo from a car after they sold it, because they didn’t mean to sell the stereo with the car.
Right, because a typical pre-purchase inspection includes confirming that features listed on the original window sticker haven’t been remotely removed from the car by the manufacturer, and any used car buyer who fails to have one of these mythical pre-existing feature inspections performed deserves what they get.
Everything you wrote about what Cadillac should be sums up the Escalade.
My wife has a 13 year old minivan. We went on a trip together and she got to pick what to get from the Emerald Aisle. Because she would be driving, she wanted the Minivan. After driving around for a week, she wants better bluetooth on her van and maybe a backup camera. Crutchfield can hook me up for less than the cost…
Neutral: For me personally, it comes down to 2 kids in college and a string of life disasters that left me with way too much debt to income ratio for the next 2-3 years.
Neutral: The wife and I bought a Subaru Legacy and a Toyota Tundra respectively in 2016 and 2015 and neither seem to have aged appreciably yet. Like, at all, zero issues with either so far. Maybe they should stop making cars so well?
Being happy isn’t normal. Good point.
“That’s the saddest quote I think I’ve ever seen.”
