Hm, maybe you should check out the site and enjoy the party. It’s not so much that we dumped our girlfriend Deadspin.com as she was murdered by the idiot herb Jim Spanfeller. It’s a major party over there on the biggest sports party weekend of the year, when our favorite sports site is now a corpse.

I see a lot of discussion about this movie not being about the thing that the movie was about.

Class warefare was not even the biggest message them movie was trying to get across, elements of it were there, but only as a means to showcase the breakdown in ones reality and ones perception of mental illness from both inside the mind of someone with it and for those seeing someone with it.

Although I haven’t seen it, there’s a wide consensus among those in a position to know that it’s an amazingly accurate portrayal of how society exacerbates mental illness, not just through a lack of services but common behaviors in the general public. This makes it all the more ironic that it’s consistently dismissed

The movie was an exploration of mental illness and how it is perceived and experienced from inside the mind of one with it, and how it is perceived and experienced from those seeing someone with it.

Not sure if serious or trolling

The 20-something white guys have a point.

“But what you’re talking about is similar to Trump crowing about how black unemployment is the lowest it’s ever been.”

And Hassenger whining about 20-something white guys crying about it.

I’ve heard people say that Zinn had no idea what he was talking about and that class has no bearing on racial disparity, which is entirely untrue. Not many people thinking that a Sanders style revolution would solve the problems of racism, that’s basically a straw man. Most of us who come at things from the economic

‘Woke’ Americans think class warfare is passe because it doesn’t dwell enough on race.

Yeah it even got a “B” in the AV club review. I liked it fine, it wasn’t as much of a “statement” as some of the buzz cracked it up to be, but it had some very good moments and Phoenix was incredible, DeNiro was pretty solid too. I think the director pissed a lot of people off with some of his asshole comments on

AVC Writers be like: “Come on, come on, come on, please please please cause a mass shooting, we really need those clicks.”

Spending the months leading up to Joker’s release anticipating how bad it will be and then putting it on the worst of the year list for not living down to your expectations is pretty much Peak 2019 AV Club.

Robert Bilott, while an admirable guy, lacks any of the unorthodox qualities that landed Julia Roberts an Oscar”

Wouldn’t “A Civil Action” be a more apt comparison than “Erin Brockovich?”

I grew up across the river from Parkersburg so this whole thing is really important to me. I’m gonna see this regardless of the reviews but it is kinda disappointing that it’s not a solid film. Dupont really fucked everyone multiple times and it’s a pretty insane story. It's even worse that I lived through it.

They killed it without any warning or send-off on purpose, to show that they not only didn’t respect or value Splinter, but that they had open contempt for its content and its staff.

I disagree that the commenting system sucks. What commenting systems out there are better? Disqus?* Umm...some other one?

Nikki Haley actually said “The people” should decide Trump’s fate, not a bunch of congressmen. Ignoring the fact that congressmen are elected by the people and responsibility for impeachment is in their goddamn job description.
