I AM SO GODDAMN HAPPY RIGHT NOW.
I AM SO GODDAMN HAPPY RIGHT NOW.
@Greek McPapadopoulos: For the Sugar Bowl, just to clarify.
That was a helluva game. And I sure hope Hawaii gets to go to Bourbon Street.
Is anybody still watching the Hawaii game? It's tied up, less than three minutes, and Hawaii is driving.
@Somewhere Hidden Within The Dark Recesses Of The Mind: Hawai'i would probably go Sugar if they're unbeaten, and Arizona St. would go to the Fiesta if they win tonight.
Christ, Pitt's getting hosed. I'm getting Ralph Nader on the phone, and I'm sure he'll demand an investigation.
@Greek McPapadopoulos: And I get multiple demerits, because upon further research the Strokes worked with Nigel for a bit, but they never ended up on an album.
@jose reyes.the roof: I've grown to appreciate the Strokes over the years, but it's also true I wouldn't say they're particularly awesome. Mutations is one of my favorite albums, and the way that he got Beck to alter himself on that one and Sea Change is pretty amazing.
Son of a bitch.
Holy shit, Pitt scores again.
@jose reyes.the roof: Best studio work to which Nigel Godrich has been a party? That's a pretty damn strong statement to make—the man worked with Beck and The Strokes, off the top of my head, and oh yeah, was behind the boards for Ok Computer.
@Technicolor Jan Stenerud: I've only become a fan in the past year, so I haven't given their entire catalog due process—I've only listened to Brighten the Corners a couple of times, but I can always listen to Crooked Rain. But what the hell, I'm not doing anything now, I'm tossing on Brighten now.
@SlantedAndDisenchanted: I only got wind of this flip-flop recently. I was a little busy this morning (I took the LSAT (again)).
@SlantedAndDisenchanted: But Pelini goes. Defense had generally been a strength while Bo was here, but it really faltered the last few weeks.
@Peter Cavan: Are they worse than the abortion that is the "electric banana" Oregon uniforms? The ones that they're wearing tonight are awful as well.
A Sugar Bowl berth is a nice way to end the day. Sure, it's a consolation prize, but it's still a good one.
@WheelOfOrton: or Larry Craig.
"Look, I don't think it's too much to ask for you to keep this quiet, considering your condition, right? Look, it's not like I'm ashamed of you. I'm ashamed of myself."
Dammit. We always come away looking like idiots.
