I don’t much care for football myself, but several football-loving friends and family are really into Canadian football. They describe it as a faster, more streamlined tweak of the American version, mostly just less dead time between downs. It’s apparently getting somewhat popular.

A thought a friend of mine had: they might be angling for a non-NFL license. The XFL is coming back in 2020, and 2K has ties thanks to their WWE game license which makes them an obvious choice. There’s also college football and Canadian football as options.

Maybe we as a country shouldn’t have to rely on individual GoFundMe campaigns to fight drug addiction and homelessness, or may for medical bills, or really provide any of the kinds of services that a government in a wealthy country should be able to provide.
