I didn’t say you were concerned for the neighbourhood but about it. As in being in it. Because of the crime, you see. Which, to me, seems like a good reason to use public money to try and improve the neighbourhood as opposed to build a AAA ballpark.

If you’re really that concerned about the neighbourhood the ballpark is in it seems like there’s a greater need for public money in that neighbourhood than in moving the ballpark away.

Or with that $80 million could they have possibly improved the ‘high-crime’ area of the city?

This “unity”, this corporate-mandated togetherness is not consensual and therefore doesn’t exist. It is a farce to suggest a resolution to the “controversy” be that one side stop doing the one thing that they believe in and the other side gain everything they want in the transaction.
