I feel like the EPA would be well served trying to mitigate the reason why people are eliminating their emission controls. Yes some people are just assholes, but I would argue the larger population of people doing this are in response to poor reliability and obscene costs of the emission control strategies used in

The home app also only shows historical data from the thermostats while they have a data connection. If they go offline the cached data from the thermostat is not received like it is with the Nest app.

I’m also finding there are several settings for my outdoor cameras that are not available in the Home app. They’ve got

Just remember: If you have to tell people how good a job you’re doing or how great your company is... it’s probably not that good or not that great.

Auto pilot aside this is really a failure of the emergency braking system of the car. I know that Tesla removed radar from their vehicles and have relied on vision only, but that was after this 2019 Tesla as built. I saw some suggestion that they killed radar utilization within software that would retroactively affect

Both are tales of me being young and dumb, but they turned out well enough...

Case A was right after we had a wet and heavy snow. I was cruising along on a section of 4 lane where only the inside lane was clear of the resulting slush. Watching a semi behind me throwing some snow with his truck gave me the bright idea

You’re kind of mixing up engines there. There’s the Chrysler Slant Six which is not the same as the AMC 4.2/4.0 straight six. Regardless, the engine is the main selling point of an XJ. I also consider its smaller size and off-road capability an advantage.

I was going to say XJ, but you know what... you’re damn right.

Looks like a ML350 and a F150 had a child.

The irony is they already do pay more. Trucks, SUVs and other large platforms are vastly more expensive (sometimes by a factor of two) to purchase and operate. Yet people still buy them.

You most certainly can patent methods and processes. Patents do not just cover physical things. This is not far removed from patenting control or processing methods used in software or even specific applications in how it’s used. This is done all the time.

Patents will stop someone from using that method in their production.

... what the hell?

That cylinder is effectively their casket now. I half wonder if most of it got left behind.

The article is a bit confusing. The 4wt trim is a work truck trim and not the base model. It was originally to be $77905 so $79800 isn’t a huge mark up.

Famous words to die by.

What’s the old saying? Regulations are written in blood?

This feels kind of weird saying this, but I think I side with Joe on this one. If my tax dollars are going to be subsidizing something I would prefer my dollars would go towards helping domestic companies and interests. I’m very much not a nationalist dick-head, but given the choice or preference... sure, I’d like my

Mostly cost. It is starting to change, but a good chunk of EVs are still high-feature/luxury vehicles that demand a pretty decent premium over comparable cars. Even when they’re priced reasonably they end up having interiors that feel about as cheap as an Aveo to make that cost margin.

Anytime I’ve come across someone with a FaZe tag it’s been my cue to mute the game chat. Seems like most of the time anyone associated with them really knows how to suck the fun out of a game.

The only issue is whatever they give her is going to have higher tax and insurance costs. I wonder if they’re going to cover that difference or not for a number of years.
