I think we are mostly annoyed at the resulting caveman logic: “mY tRuCk Is FaStEr ThAn A sPorTs cAR!!!”

I was driving behind one, and man it is deceptively huge, like just as big as a G-wagon and as long as an F150. The whole time I was thinking, “is the sun going to shine it’s rays on it’s naked body panels and blind me”, and “How the F*** can the driver see out the thing?”.

Good lord that thing is UGLY.

“There’s a sucker born every minute.”

A phev uses 1/4-1/5 of the battery of a full electric. It can provide 90% of the daily use as full electric.

Huh? No matter what I try, I can’t figure out what this is trying to say.

The Bellagio fountains were not drained.  They were working just fine last night.  They will be toned down from their usual shows for the race, is my understanding.  It was the outdoor canal area in front of Venetian that was drained.

Fellow east coaster and I definitely don’t plan on watching any of it live. Hulu records all the F1 sessions for me. I usually watch all of qualifying and then the race, although most of the time these days a good bit of it is on fast forward...

and has the country hurtling toward a place where democracy no longer works.

Mullin said something to the effect of “what was I supposed to do?”

You mean this guy? The clearly not-gutless guy cowering as “patriots” “peacefully” exercised their “rights” by attacking Congress:

Mullins a total disgrace. And he suffers from Irish-American Asshole Syndrome (IAAS). He has vendetta against Sean O’Brien (another pone of my people) that goes back over a year. But the difference between these guys is clear. O’Brien worked up from a junior position. Mullins inherited his wealth and didn’t really

Yeah, be a populist brute grandstanding for the cracker Repubs back home (“This’ll look great for my re-election ads! Yee-haw!”) than show respect for over 200 years of Senate tradition—act senatorial—just some more Donald-groveling Repub “genius” at work here.

no he doesn’t. it was pure posturing. He wasn’t going to do a thing.

Republicans, are you taking note of how many douche nozzles you have in Congress? It’s pathetic, and has the country hurtling toward a place where democracy no longer works.

The issue is the bridges in question aren’t there just for the race. They’re used by thousands of tourists who don’t give a damn about the race, they just want to look at the skyline. It wouldn’t be a big deal if F1 put the screens up shortly before the event started, but they were unnecessarily put up weeks (probably

Tell me you don’t watch F1 without saying you don’t watch F1. Overtakes happen all the time. You know there are cars behind the first two, right?

That’s why the oval is the superior format for racing.

I’m a Vegas lover, and F1 fan, and when they first announced this race I told my wife I wanted to do whatever it took to be there. I didn’t even need a race ticket; I would have been content to watch on the TV in the hotel room as the cars zoomed by outside. I just wanted to be there and experience the vibe.

I don’t understand why anyone would listen to the main crew unless there’s no other option. Alex Jacques is much better than Crofty (which isn’t difficult tbh), and Jolyon Palmer is the best in the business right now. I also really, really like the addition of Hinchcliffe to the F1TV team. Let’s hope they keep those
