We’re 3 days short of 32 years since my second of two flights from JFK to LHR on Concorde, which I managed to do due to the pure luck of being in the right job at the right time.

At least he didn’t try to claim he won...
I guess they won’t be releasing a new Toyota Corona any time soon...
Thanks - that would have been useful to include in the article I guess.
“Ulmann fought the proposal tooth and nail”
Because they drove drunk to the place they decided to sleep it off. Driving drunk is unsafe. This isn’t rocket science.
No. I think there should be consequences for driving unsafely before belatedly deciding that they shouldn’t go further. Otherwise they’ll just keep doing it.
Just the thing for when The Saint needs to go grocery shopping.
If he pulled off the road to sleep it off because he was drunk he was driving drunk to get there. Perhaps the fact he eventually pulled over should be taken into account but he obviously did drive drunk to get there, for which some form of penalty is appropriate. Otherwise people would just drive drunk to a preferred…
The absence of the Lamborghini Miura completely invalidates this list.
So his trajectory has gone in the wrong direction, from 3rd to 10th in the series, in part due to more erratic driving this season. He needs to demonstrate consistency to be considered as a serious contender, in the same way those who’ve won or placed in the top 3 of F2 have.
If the F2 driver finished the season in the top 3, while the IndyCar driver finished 10th I expect the F2 driver would warrant more respect.
Perhaps if Herta had done better than 10th in the season, having crashed out and spun in several races, they may have considered making an exception. Ford GT40
Correct - he doesn’t have a super license and has shot himself in the foot a few times this season. I really don’t think he’s in the running at this point. Logan Sergeant seems a better US F1 driver prospect at present.
“The trial is the latest in a long line of dramas that are affecting Ford’s reputation for reliability.”
The sound of them was enough to put me off, and the fan boost thing is ridiculous. It’s not supposed to be a popularity contest.
Is the Force family involved with the Street Outlaws program?
From the linked Reuters article: “Szafnauer said he understood Alonso’s reasoning, with the money and length of contract likely key factors for the 41-year-old Spaniard, but had expected Piastri to show integrity and loyalty.”
