Pretty telling that the last 5 finishers were Mercedes powered, while Ferrari had the top 2 and a total of 5 cars in the top 10. And Red Bull/Honda only got 1 of 4 to the finish.

Way too soon to make predictions before Sunday, when we’ll have our first chance to see whether the new aero really does allow for more passing, and how the cars perform in long runs at race pace.

Nah, I prefer watching the reality of the races to the distorted drama of “reality TV”. Happy it’s brought more fans but it’s not for me.

In one sense I agree with you. True, they shouldn’t get a free pass. But on the other hand there’s the safety consideration of going back out with a potential puncture developing after running over debris that led to the red flag.
