I keep my BEVs in the fridge.
The GT40 was never made for drag racing. But a 7 liter MkII or MkIV version would have been a more interesting shootout on the drag strip.
Read AJ Baime’s excellent book, “Go Like Hell”. It’s a great read - I’ve read it 3 times because it tells the story in such an entertaining way.
Well what were you expecting from The Boring Company, excitement?
That took me back - haven’t heard Evan Green for yonks. (He’s a bit of a pariah for some, having written the article which led to the Australian government banning faster road cars in the ‘70's.)
FIFY
It’s on:
Given that Ford ended up selling a hell of a lot more Mustangs than Falcon Sprints in its first model year I doubt it stayed that way for long.
Yeah, I didn’t realize until this morning that Verstappen was also starting on the medium. I guess it really wasn’t that much of a factor anyway.
What’s going to perhaps make it tough for Verstappen isn’t that Perez isn’t there, it’s that the Mercedes duo are starting on the medium compound which may/may prove a better strategy. At least I know where my dreams of a Lamborghini Miura or a Ford GT40 came from - they were the cars I played with as a kid and always just looked so right. I wouldn’t even need to drive a Miura much - just sitting and staring at it from different angles would be enough to keep me happy. But I’ll have to satisfy…
Props? Looks like jets to me.
I hope that continues.
I have to wonder if there’s a better quick release available for the fire extinguishers in their units? It seemed to take quite a while to get out and in other situations that delay could allow a fire to take hold.
1st gear: “It told about 30,000 of its employees worldwide who have worked from home that they can continue to do so indefinitely, with flexible hours approved by their managers.”
I guess the owner really crossed the rubicon there.
Note that only F1 TV Pro gives live access to the testing. The cheaper F1 TV Access only gives you delayed viewing days later. I’ve also seen some complaints from people who’ve signed up to F1 TV Pro who said they weren’t able to view today’s testing for some reason.
I lol’d.
Sometimes. In 1972 yes, in 1971 and 73 not so much.
