I thought season 1 was just very formulaic and cheesy. I was ready to stop watching entirely until the Winter Soldier tie-in. It made bland characters a lot more interesting.

I liked Luke Cage up until that point too. It really nosedives after that though.

I think the previous season of AoS was better than all of those other Marvel shows. It really elevated the show.
