Not just pure water, they’re talking about water added to the batteries, so battery acid.

Damnit stop circumventing my laziness.

Nice try but:

‘That task is tantamount to witchcraft and there isn’t going to be an easy answer’ definitely made me chuckle.

A ship is a device built with the primary purpose of putting humans out into an environment which they are incapable of surviving by nature: any water deeper than their neck. It’s an often-overlooked given that the craftsmanship to accomplish that task is tantamount to witchcraft and there isn’t going to be an easy

Now playing

But every once in awhile, they’re right there when it’s needed.

There is some truth to this. You can have all the rules in the world, but that doesn’t mean some guy won’t do do something wrong or get told to do something wrong and not know any better. Also, sometimes, shit just happens.

I don’t disagree with you, but I would argue that’s their job.

OHSA is like a cop after a traffic accident, rarely do they educate before the fact only there afterwards to hand out fines.Just my opinion.

Ships have historically also been amazingly toxic things as well. Anyone that has ever walked around an old WW2 carrier/museum will find miles and miles and miles of steam pipes, which powered everything on the ship and ALL was of course covered in asbestos pipe lagging. The pipe fitters who constructed or worked on

“Meanwhile, workers are left to build ships at their own risk without a government that cares about their welfare.”

Water on a painted concrete floor can be pretty slippery.

Very well put. I’m also tired of the complaining about being “forced” to join a union, ala “right to work”. Then don’t take that job. People want all the benefits of an organized workforce but they don’t want to participate in maintaining them. I don’t think very many people understand how the prevailing wage works.

You’re a highly polluting death trap.

The all consuming hatred of all things Union is inexplicable. Unions provide an opportunity for workers to negotiate as a unit, just like management does. Single workers have no chance of negotiating anything for their benefit. “Oooh, unions have fucked up American industry” No, crappy management did. No one forced

To be fair it’s not like you can just go online and buy battery acid cleanup kits and download osha approved info sheets on how to safely clean up such spills.

Unions are a double-edged sword. They are intended to take power away from the businesses and give it to the employees — powers that keep the employees from being used and abused. However, “Unions” in the US have become institutions unto themselves (as with every institution ever created by people), wherein furthering

This is kinda basic stuff for Tesla not to have procedures in place for. Might not be the biggest deal on its own, but would imply they don’t take worker safety stuff that seriously.
