To put things in perspective, I begrudgingly drive a ‘99 Camry on a regular basis, and the tachometer stays around 3k RPMs at 80 MPH. Only when you drive at the kind of speed that will put points on your license will you really disturb the engine.

Weird, every car I’ve driven has it the other way around (i.e. full tank to 3/4ths in 10 miles, 3/4ths to 1/2 in 25 miles, 1/2 to 1/4th in 50 miles, and 1/4th to empty in infinite miles).
