Yes, there are more worthy causes. Yes, this isn't incredibly out-of-the-ordinary for a kid. But don't overcomplicate it - this is just a bunch of people being nice to a kid.

The subjunctive mood is dying.

I'm sure you knew this was coming, but they already make that console:

They're not "owed" anything. It is a small tip for the tab, and it may not be courteous, but it's certainly not something someone should feel entitled to given that it is entirely optional.

I don't know that I want to play games that are the result of the kind of investment required to generate a photoreal environment. It's beautiful to be sure, but unless dev times are ramped up or assets are reused more, I can't see something like this being made reasonably on a one/two-year timeframe.

The animation and CG is great! The style may be something you take umbrage with, but the production quality is really high. Take a look at some of the environments from this past season (Mon Calamari, especially) to see this.

Replying to promote.

It is, and you can see its textures in the main portion of the article above.

Well of course it stands to reason that they would - and in fact the evidence shows that they have (twice?) tried. I only have a problem with people treating stuff like the Free Radical leaked footage as an implicit promise from LA that this is a game that's going to come out (which is, admittedly, a silly thing to

It's not an April Fool's joke; the same people who've dug up the images have found source for at least one player model (see attached image). - [forum.xentax.com]

But what is the appropriate amount of time? Is being a "real" gamer playing games five hours a day? Once a day? Once a week? Once in a while with consistency? Really enjoying the times you do get to play games, but not playing very often at all?

Yeah, if you say "teetus" instead of "titus," in my own little world, you're just as wrong as can be. I don't see that changing for me any time soon.

And really, why aren't there any fast food places that sell corn nuggets? I'd get those instead of fries almost all the time!

I'm a teddy bear when it comes to behind-the-scenes discussions in admin forums, and I rarely give bans on the sites I run. What I do do, and what I think is a better way, is to simply remove what trolls/ne'er-do-wells have to say. I delete posts as quickly as possible (and any quotes of that post, etc.).

But when do we care? When a video game in a one-off scene is being "played" by people flailing around (not looking at all like they are playing)? When a popular misquote is used in passing reference ("Luke, I am your father")?

The lottery does it, and it works out well enough for them.

Yikes - Gawker ate my paragraph formatting. Sorry for the (perceived) wall-of-text!

Plus, how much do you think it cost to get rid of all those dead Bothans? Oh wait, its the Empire.. I bet they had a surplus of airlocks.

Time out - there are two things to consider here.
