At some point, people need to realize that Australia just doesn’t want us there, right?
Look, I respect your passion for this, but 1) you’re projecting a lot of feelings onto what was originally a very straightforward comment from me and 2) you (and Berneko’s) willingness to draw an us vs. them line in the sand over what counts as progressive or not is part of why you’re losing this primary.
I didn’t say he doesn’t represent anybody or have policies that are best for anybody, I’m merely pointing out that a certain portion of the electorate isn’t voting for him. Again, you’re projecting a lot of feelings onto what was a very straightforward comment.
You can say what you want, but the numbers are the numbers. Man, you Bernie bros are touchy. Do you get that I’m not presenting this as a criticism?
I made the statement that his support is divided along a racial boundary, and when you decided to draw that boundary in a different place than I meant, I pointed out what I meant.
I made a descriptive comment, not a prescriptive one. The fact is that black people are overwhelmingly voting for Clinton: http://polling.reuters.com/#poll/TR131/fi…
I think the key difference is the acknowledgement that some people are weighing political risk and potential as a positive choice, rather than siding with the devil they fear least.
I’m not trying to make a prescriptive stance, just a descriptive one. Numbers are numbers.
It’s not about affluence, it’s about race.
I disagree with your assessment. In proper context, her logic is “incremental progress is in the interests of those who need progress most, because they don’t have the ability to hold their breath if they can’t get everything they want”.
Hold on, so which is it: the kids on U-23 don’t have enough competitive starts, or that not enough of them are challenging themselves in Europe?
I don’t think this jives with the reality of being a CONCACAF country. There’s no future where the USMNT is entirely based in Europe, and it doesn’t have to be. In fact, I don’t think that’s the way to have a cohesive national team.

Fishy Playground is the amazing song that will never stop delivering.
Shinned it.
There’s an excellent volunteer series called “The Replay” where soccer journalists are re-watching old matches and writing it up. I highly recommend it!
It’s nice aesthetically, but like so many other NYC projects right now it falls short of being truly useful. Maybe if it actually connected PATH and the subway or expanded capacity in any way...
That’s the trick! You’re looking for muscle, body volume, and shape. Depending on the type of animal, you want certain proportions.
