I was expecting my sister to be super-depressed about the Red Wedding, but her take on it was, "Well, it's sad. But the way I see it, I want Dany to win the throne when all is said and done, so eventually Robb would have to die anyway." LOL!

The trailer was filled with touching scenes like that but you're right about that one being masterful.
I'm kinda bummed the VERY SPOILERY "alternate ending" posted over on Gawker didn't pop up here as well, especially since it's so perfect for many of us '80s kids who are also GoT fans.
Not gonna lie, if I were George R.R. Martin, this would be me.
Maybe I'm just a sick person, but I think in its own way, it's really flattering to get such a reaction. Because obviously, people were really invested and really shocked and emotional over what they saw. If he was just a hack and the story was bad, that…
Give the man a little credit. He did go on record saying that this was the hardest scene to write in the entire book (series?) and that he had initally skipped it and had to go back when the rest of the book was complete
Last sunday I sadly had to slice him apart. After coming for him very early in the beginning I was no real match for him, but this time I've grown compassion when he followed me with his infringed paw trying to come after me with his left strength.
That was one of the best made and hardest hitting videos I've ever seen.... I've already played and beat the game and I was still just like ... wow.
And when he starts limping :'(
Sif was an amazing boss, I can't think of any other game that's actually made me feel bad for the giant monster trying to kill me.
I hope dark souls II has a boss like this.
Like an equally surprising boss, because nothing is more surprising than a giant wolf that tries to kill you with a giant sword.
Mighty fine.

You assume that the soldier is closing everyone in and leaving them to die, but he is making a sacrifice to try and save the lives of everyone in the tunnels by closing the door and keeping that horde from entering. Plus, showing…
I was wondering about that, so that mob of soldiers a bit before the end, that's supposed to be 'the cavalry'? Okay then, it works.
I think the end of the trailer gives the hope you wanted. You see train full of fighters arriving just at the end. And brave soldier closing the blast the door sort of gives them a chance. With his sacrifice they have a chance.
Good video on what the noise level is like
