And I have a special dislike to those that assume that us meat eaters do not know what is involved in getting that meat to our plate. Do you really think that if we have not seen it firsthand we imagine it falls off a tree? We know the animal dies. We know it has to be cut into edible pieces. Please fucking stop this

Seriously? In the video they say five thousand dollars and yet you insist on putting four thousand?

Pretty much.

I wondered about this myself since if I was in that dinner party I would be easy to spot since I would be the one pounding my head into the table repeatedly.

Wouldn't do anything to tenderize meat since you need enzymes for that but you are right it would burst into flames for sure. And in combination would destroy your liver for sure.

You should have asked them what would happen if you put a person in an oven and baked them at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour.

I have no trouble believing this since most Americans do not realize that curry is not a spice but a method of cooking, i.e. you make a curry. Curry powder is a British invention and while useful in making some dishes the dishes that result from it should never be referred to as Indian food.

Hilariously if they did that it would actually have some effect on the tenderness of the steak since the enzymes in saliva do indeed break down meat fibers making it seem more tender. This is how marinades work. The acid in the marinade stimulates your salivary glands causing you to excrete more saliva which goes to

Interesting. I assumed the hot was being used in regards to pungency. This is the way it is when referring to Paprika. Hot paprika is not hot it is just more pungent and sweet paprika is not sweet at all just more mild tasting.

Well as someone up thread posted tomatoes are part of the nightshade family which can cause inflammation. But once again as you said it has NOTHING to do with the color. And yeah dye allergies are not uncommon. I have small issues with blue dyes myself but as long as I keep it in moderation I am usually just fine.

Sigh. It's Worcestershire sauce in traditional Caesar salad. Because there are anchovies in Worcestershire this weird confusion has occurred where everyone thinks you need to use anchovies in Caesar dressing.

Agreed even with the fumble recover which was a correct call there should have been a personal foul called for a horse collar tackle. What happened to Treadwell is the reason that rule was instituted. Nothing good EVER occurs on tackles like that.

Ugh I can't take it anymore. I want sausage descriptions. (And get your mind out of the gutter)

Well if there is a term for it, I am sure it is in German.

DUH Brats of course. :-) OOH or maybe a nice schnitzel.

Burt I am not sure which is more insane. Burning a perfect German food or that you did not watch a sauté pan with food in it. You did sauté your spaetzle right? In butter with maybe some fresh sage? And damn it now I am hungry.

I've always found gnocchi to be more dense the spaetzle. It is tasty though and I recommend adding it to your diet. Along with pierogies and other potato based dishes.

Yes it is Polish and also smoked so a much different sausage then most of the German wurst's. It is like comparing Johnsenville brats (while tasty at a out door cookout or ballgame) to real German brats. They are NOTHING alike.

And the further question is it even binding when dealing with someone below the age of 18? Yeah it's a great intimidation tactic on a 16 year old kid but even a knowledgeable parent that is not a lawyer could probably get this tossed. Most states do not allow anyone under the age of 18 to enter into a binding contract

I will second Penn Station. It is one place I do miss from my time in Ohio. Although the great Mexican food here in Tucson does make up for it some.
